4-5 game winning streak would only have us within 4-5 points on the playoffs.
Right now we would technically need 10 more points to be a playoff team since we are out by 8 and both teams have games in hand PLUS we'd have to beat out 3 teams for 7th or 8th as pittsburgh will probably not be caught and is 13 ahead.
If we were to get 10 out of 10 the next 5 games, the teams ahead of us would get at least 5, 6 or 7 so we'd probably be 5-6 points back even after winning 5 straight.
If those teams maintain their current pace...

We would need 93 to get in, so 48 points in 34 games...24-10-0 or 22-8-4 that's .706 winning%.
Kind of hard to make the playoffs when TSN's top 200 player ranking has only 4 habs players.... the first one being #80 Eric Cole....#86 Max Pacioretty.....#112 Carey Price.....and #163 PK Subban!
He works for the organization, they're not going to admit we're not making the playoffs until the last game of the season when we've been eliminated for a month.

I don't mind JM thinks we'll make the playoffs. The problem is it suggests other people at the Bell Center could think the same thing... As long as supernatural events occuring isn't the basis for their trade deadline strategy.

Martin is still an employee of the Habs, not surprising.
Habs management will never admit to not making the POs unless we're officially out of the race. I don't think any GM would say that actually, not publicly.
