I agree, I don't want any more Goat deals. But point is that saying he shouldn't be traded for anyone is ludicrous.

People who want to trade Subban for anything short of a #1 center are downright <expletive>! He's 22 years old defenseman put in the position of being the #1 on his team, and this being his softmore season with a slumping team! Compare his play and Doughty's play this season and they're both on the same page! LET. HIM. PLAY.

Just earlier this season, people were on their knees ****ing Subban with PK! PK! PK! every time he touched the puck. Bunch of spineless ingrates!

Early twenties is about the age when we tend to trade players. Or should I say "dump troublemakers" for next to nothing. On a related note: Sergei Kostitsyn has 11 points in his last 10 games.

Maybe this one GM is not only erroneous thinking that PK is available, but he's also the one GM who missed the memo that cammy was available.

Would love the Columbus pick, plus Carter for Gomez, Subban and Weber.

Hey, PG could come up with something similar I'm sure.

The Media, fans cant actually execute a trade, only the organization can, so its the management that needs to stop overreacting and pressing the damn trade button.

Hmmm. Gauthier has seen a lot of LA games in person recently.

Just to start some excitement for no reason other than I feel like it....

from what i read in the media, it doesn't matter anyways.

Now the whole NHL thanks to Lebrun knows PK is on block, which we could thank Lebrun for letting everyone know, because Pierre Gauthier wouldn't.

Doesn't matter, who calls now Gauthier wont call anyone back.

He did that with Halak, another GM called and offered him 2 ROSTER PLAYERS, told him to make sure he called back before trading Halak,

the GM offering 2 players requesting Pierre to call back, received NOT A CALL BACK .......

This is total incompetent...

  • Early Twenties (22)
  • Shows potential to be an impact/good player
  • Has a personality
  • Media whipping boy

Yup, he qualifies for the "Trade a young player for nothing!" promotion the Habs keep having from time to time, at the benefit of the 29 other teams in the NHL.

I'm watching RDS and it's more like: 1 GM said he probably heard that maybe he can be avalaible. Nothing official.

Maybe, and hopefully, it's just an assumption by a GM thinking with all the "turmoil" going on that Goat may be looking to move him.

I don't think people are afraid that PK will get traded. I think they're afraid for WHAT he would get traded, considering Gauthier's track record in trades.

THAT is scary. I'm sure you're not THAT daft to think that people wouldn't want Getzlaf if he was offered for PK....

Maybe management is to blame, since they're the ones who actually made those deals?

Here's a story for you:

Everyone knew that Gauthier was going to trade Jaroslav Halak and keep Carey Price. Before he dealt with St. Louis, an unnamed GM offered two roster-players of Gauthier's choice, and despite Gauthier's disinterest, that GM insisted on being called before any deal was finalized with St. Louis.

The deal for Halak had been conceptualized well in advance, and there was never an open process on trading him. Never.

And that phone call never came.

How in the lleh can anyone be comfortable with this Gauthier ,especially now with this Subban stuff..I'M SICK ...

LeBrun just clarified his comments on TSN990. He said that of all the teams he spoke to today, NONE of them heard that Subban was available. Just before going on the air, one team called him and told him that because of all the crap that's happening with him now, they wouldn't be surprised if he'll become available soon.

Shut this thread down. Marinaro is a ****ing moron and completely misunderstood what LeBrun said.

Subban shouldn't be available, he should be a corner stone to this teams future. You don't fill needs by creating bigger holes. IT is extremely counter productive, our d is porous, trading our best one doesn't make any sense, if this is true and he is traded it won't end well for us.

PG should be available not PK.

Just came in to say exactly this. He said it didn't come out right, and in fact not one has heard he's availible. Only one said after the argument on the ice today, he wouldn't he be surprised if that changed. But this was one of many he spoke to...

Please stop fueling this guys
