Bobrovsky is playing with his dad in attendance. Fathers on this trip:

Carle, Bobrovsky, Hartnell, Schenn, Shelley, Giroux, Couturier, Simmonds, Bourdon, Talbot, Briere.

Was actually kind of hoping for Bryzgalov, to give him a little run of action before the All-Star break and try getting him into a groove. The last game wasn't the best, but certainly wasn't his fault - and the elite goaltender at the other end let in five as well.

But, we'll see how Bobrovsky does against one of the better teams in the league and his father will get a chance to see him play. According to TSN: 7-3-0, 1.82GAA, .940SV% in his last twelve appearances. Here's hoping he can continue his little hot-streak of intermittent appearances.

If you factor in shootout goals, Bryzgalov let in a lot more.

Yes, obviously - but not holding it against him because to be fair, both of our goaltenders seem to struggle in the shootout - don't have the numbers in front of me. Bobrovsky did well on a handful of breakaways against the New York Islanders, wonder if he can translate that recent in-game success to shootout success - but hope it doesn't get there often.

Was hoping to give Bryz one last chance not to be mediocre before trolling every time he starts but, yay from BOB's standpoint.

Would be great for BOB to get his first shutout in front of his father.

you took the words right out of my mouth but they have to play like they did against boston to get bob that goose egg. if they can manage to bring that aggression, hit everything that moves and fight back when they get pushed around a team like the panthers isn't built to play that kind of game, thats why boston beat them like 7 to 0 not long ago.

Madden and Upshall are playing. Skille and Bergenheim are scratched.

Flyers' starters: Giroux's line, Coburn, Timonen, Bobrovsky.
