Great coach, but by getting rid of JM, Cammalleri and bringing in Bourque, I thought we were all fed up with the midgets and the defensive style of hockey, and that the fans in the Bell Center were bored this season?
********.. Boucher and Yserman or on the same page, anybody know Lightning lack quality depth in their line-up, especially on D, Boucher made an incredible job with this team last year while they were full of gaps.. Now the reality hit this team, just like the Habs hit a wall as well.. With the present parity in this league, your on ice product has to be extremmely good if you wanna make the playoffs, Habs actually lack depth as well on D and lack top end talents up front.. The positives, our drafting reccord is pretty good, Timmins can draft future NHLers in every rounds, our prospect pool on D is now very interesting and we already have some young and very touted kids like Eller Pac Subban Price in the line-up.. Just build around those kids and spend your money smarter on the UFA market.. No more Gomez, Cammalleri Spacek, Kaberle.. just await for the right opportunities to sign charactere guys.. If you cant get one, no prob, save the money be patient and play the kids.. Follow that guideline and it will pay at the end..

I would take Boucher now that he has gotten his feet wet in the NHL.
This. was always hopeful that Boucher would start his career somewhere else and come to us after a while. I wouldn't of expected if it's only after a year and a half, but with situation we are in, he's definitely best possible solution. Given that he's already worked with some of the players on this roster, this will be great move. IF.
I heard this from more credible sources like Lebrun and Co. on the hotstove. They were talking about how the players are not really listening to boucher anymore. If true, you really have to think that yzerman will let him go because its easier to replace the coach than to replace the team. It doesnt matter how much yzerman likes boucher if the players aren't responding to him.
Given Boucher's familiarity with our players, and how much those players enjoyed playing for him, I think this could be a real coup for Montreal. Of course, you got to hire a GM first (potentially).
