Hank
Cally
Gaborik

Just a God mode game by Lundqvist. And Cally was a beast.

Hank could have the franchise record for SO's by next season. How insane is that?

Yet another one of those games where everyone played well. Cally and Mitchell continued to put up points, Richards got off the schneid, Gabby and Dubi had 5 shots a piece, Boyle was blocking shots again, the defense played great, Hank was making some highlight reel saves, etc.

It's not always pretty, but this team does what it takes to win. I never anticipated the team would play so well this year, it's been quite a ride and I eagerly await the second half.

Staal only played 12 mins...
Honestly I think he could be dangled if the right opportunity arose.
Not saying we should look to trade him, but I do believe he is expendable give the depth we have on the right side...

Just out of curiosity does anyone know why Staal barely got 12 minutes of icetime in this game? I had a choppy feed and wasn't really able to watch the game very well. With that being said, I spoke with my brother who said that he did take a big hit in the 2nd period and wasn't sure if he saw him after that.

One of those wins where everyone contributed - not to say it was flawless however.

POTG - Hank easily. Incredible.
HM - Cally, Mitchell, DZ.

If you had told me this team would have been sitting where they are right now at the "half" before the season started I would have asked you to pass what you were smoking. It's been a real pleasure.

Hopefully everyone gets some hard-earned rest and comes back ready to go hard for the end of season sprint.

Staal took a couple of shifts in the third.

More likely Tortorella riding his top pairings that were playing real well

PoTG: Hank, like nearly every game.

Good: Callahan, our top 4 D, Prust, Mitchell. Most players.

Bad: Richards scored, but he did not have a great game. Better then his recent dry spot yes, but not good. Still looks like he's never passed or shot a puck before in his life. I'm beginning to get a tad bit worried about Staal.

Richards: The all-star break.

Anyone catch Torts chewing out Boyle during a stoppage in play? He was coming back to the bench, and Torts was ripping him a new one. It was shortly after he hurt his ankle. Missed assignment perhaps?

This is a pretty good hockey team.

Perhaps we should play a few more tough teams before we get too excited....

Heh, heh.

Agreed. Really, as long as we're winning I don't care about the performance of any individual, but it'd be nice for him to get going as the stretch run kicks off.
