**** yeah.
7 straight, baby!

Great game. St. Louis is my favorite Western team. Just hard work, lots of speed and grit. Will be even better next year.

... and with their home record, going in there to get the W still without Sid and Staal.... good stuff. Should have taken advantage when we were 2-0 up and dominating, but Elliott kept them in it.
Then the comeback, and Fleury kept us in it. Drama, end to end. Great advert for the game.

If anyone needs this break, it's Fleury. I'm starting to worry about how much he's playing. Granted, we need it now as we are just a few weeks removed from being outside of the playoffs.

Hopefully we can afford him some time off late in the regular season.

Great backhand by Kunitz. So many solid saves by Fleury.

Great game, very entertaining. Best of luck the rest of this season. It would be a pleasure to watch your team in the playoffs (again).

MAF should have been the #1, #2, and #3 stars of the game.

Sick...just...sick.

BJ in nets tonight would have been a disaster. We'll cross the "Fleury is too tired" bridge when we get to it.

Good entertaining game. I was happy to see the Blues get a point out of this having played 4 games in 6 nights.

See you in the finals.

If this game was in Montreal Fleury wouldn't have gotten a star at all

Berglund had both of their goals so I'm not surprised that he got the #1 at home. It's all good as long as Fleury got #2

This, this, and this. Those two points are compliments of Flower, period. What's really amazing is that we went into the house of the second best home team in hockey lately, didn't play our best game, and won. That's why I keep talking about the formula: When you've got Flower and Geno and one of them goes into God mode in a game, you've got a chance anywhere and against anyone.

Ugh, no thanks. You're team is huge and if you get one legit sniper, you're going to be too much trouble.

Your goal should be to play the Red Wings in the Conference Finals, kill each other, and allow us to pick your bones.

I root hard for the Blues. One of the most underrated sports towns in North America.

Geno getting the #3 was really, really weird. I didn't think he played a great game. Not bad by any stretch, but the puck wasn't attached to his stick like it most often is. I wonder if this is due in part to a difference of standards: We see him, see a game like tonight, and say 'he was o'k'. BUT, the STL media sees him-- and they don't see him every game, obviously-- and they see his 'o'k' and think it's pretty ******* good. Only way I can explain it . . .

That's a fair point, but in regulation at least, I'm going to have issue with anyone that says St. Louis actually played better, no matter how we played ourselves.

I was on the edge of my seat (bed, actually) the entire game. I forgot about everything except for hockey for the duration of the whole game. Thanks for the exciting match St. Louis.

Now on to business, Wow, Fleury was phenomenal tonight and kept the winning streak going. Malkin and Kunitz in the shootout deserve a highfive or brofist for sure. This winning streak reminds me of the one last season before the Winter Classic.

This was my first post on HF btw

Great game tonight.
(i hope cooke doesn't get suspended again though)

No, I thought it was a relatively even game. I actually think the ice was less tilted today in the Blues favor than it was when the Pens met the Blues at the CEC with a fully healthy roster. I was just saying that this was far from the Pens best game in the last seven. Pretty sloppy with the puck in dangerous areas . . .

It certainly wasn't due to Backes. He just looked...off, and slightly tired.

I don't give a **** so much about offense, but I look at his defensive game to gauge how into a game he is. I don't think he was trying all that hard down low.

Only negative right now is the All Star break

That better not ruin the Pens momentum.

That's actually a really good call on that! Poor Western Conference fans and media don't get to see Geno a couple of times a week like we do!

I thought we outplayed them for the most point. They scored two nice goals but both were our fault. The Blues did dominate at the very end of the game and in OT and luckily Fleury bailed us out when we needed him.

We still need some consistent secondary scoring though so that we can score an extra goal a game and stop with this OT/Shootout madness of late! How long before Staal is back? 3 weeks?
