i thought that was a very good game tonight. The flyers are such a good team even when injured. Every rush up ice feels like its a scoring chance.
At least your team and my team having something in common: We cant ****ing stand stupid SO's.
The bob dance at the end gave me a laugh.
Shootouts are a bane of the League. It was an interesting concept coming out of the lockout but too many games are decided by them. An extension of 4-on-4 is desired but easier said than done and unlikely to be accepted by the PA without a fight.
There's aspects of the team's game that need addressing but getting five points out of six the last four days is a terrific achievement.
-Bob was pretty good overall. He stopped some redirections, which is always nice. I haven't seen a replay of the first goal, on the second goal I thought he overcommitted. He had some damned big saves though.
-There were a LOT of bad passes to nowhere.
-I found myself frustrated a lot during this game; that's likely a credit to Florida.
-These damned turnovers!
-Shootout: Giroux is filthy. Bob was hilarious on that first save! I was cracking up when he rolled the puck out of his glove, beaming. The dance was hilarious too. That needs to be GIFed.
Despite all the frustrating aspects of this game, they still won. That's pretty satisfying.

I think he could have had the first one. I think the scrambling around before kind of threw him off a bit and I think the bump in a way got to him.
I agree on the 2nd. He overplayed himself out of position.
All in all though can't really complain with his play.
Bob overplayed on 2nd goal? imo he did what he was suppose to do. Play the man with the puck. It's not Bob's fault not a single soul was around to help. Gus was sliding god knows where.

Yea didnt know what he was doing there. Rookie mistake. Other than that though, he looked pretty good. Made some solid plays on both ends. I didnt see OT, but I read on another site, he went beast mode at one point?

I agree, as long as you stop the guy on the break away that's all you could ask for. You can't expect Bob to force Versteeg wide then magically be in position after a pass. Bob had a very good game overall IMO.

I agree. I have hated the shootout from the beginning; I never minded ties. But the shootout really takes away from the team game. I also wish that, because so many games are decided by shootouts, the Flyers would go get someone who is an expert on shootouts. I don't care who it is. I don't care if they are fat and overweight, like Chris Farley. Use him like we use Shelly - play him 2-4 minutes a game, and then in every shootout.
