The fail thread title aside...that was one of Horcoffs better games.

Dubnyk was awkwardly effective as well.

Great game.

We played really hard today.

Hemsky and Hall were outstanding. That line looked dangerous all night.

I'm not even mad after this loss. These are the types of losses that I was expecting this year. It's nice to see the boys put in another solid 65 minutes of effort.

second half of a back to back too
These sum up the game, We actually tried.
Can we also change the thread title? There's 81 other games a season we can rag on horcoff but not this one

He should do that in shootouts and during games. His shot is lethal but his dangles suck.

I say that everytime. He always goes for dekes, I'd rather see him gather some speed before he picks up the puck and try to beat the goalie with his shot and speed.

Too bad they didn't as the Sedins suck in the SO.

Cry.

Horcoff sucks and on any other team would be in the minors. He''s lucky he plays for this train wreck of an organization. I can't wait for his contract to end so we can send his ass packing.

Horcoff would be in my top 3, I think it would be Ebs, Horc, and maybe Hemmer.

Hall is a beast, but if he doesn't start shooting it then he's going to continue to struggle in the SO.

Good effort tonight though, I can sleep happy.

Those are my top choices for the shootout. Anyone beg to differ? I wonder if Renney enjoys being an idiot.

Like really, most people are willing to accept that the hunt for the playoffs is over. Give our young kids more time in special situations or don't waste their youth by having them playing in the NHL, you freakin idiot!

Man this fanbase can be thickheaded.

Yeah. He doesn't have Eberle's deking hands. Same goes for breakaways.

That is actually one of the things that he is really good at tonight notwithstanding.
Stop complaining HF.

Anyway, i loved the effort by the team. They were dominated for portions of the game but never gave up and actually scored a goal to tie it in the 3rd, something we haven't seen for eons. I could live with losses like this and i'm sure that i speak for most of us when i say that.

Lets get back Nuge and Gilbert post ASB, hope that Whitney can build on tonight's performance because i thought that he was actually decent and lets string some wins together and restore some much needed pride.
That thread title epitomizes this board at times. Myopic to a fault.

Good effort by the boys tonight. A lot of luck and a lot of effort.

I don't actually spread Horcoff love. He's been mostly useless this year and I'd get rid of him if it were an option.

That said, he scored a key goal tonight, played well defensively, and made a bad shootout attempt. Fact remains that he is still one of the Oil's best shootout options with 10/20. Much better than even Hemsky or Hall, in fact.

And you need to lay ON the punctuation, brah.

It was nice to see our players, Hemsky in particular, smiling and chatting on the bench.

I don't understand the Horcoff hate in the SO. All those guys were the right choices. Nice to come away with a point tonight and 3/4 against SJ and VAN. It's a loss but I won't complain the way things have been lately. Hopefully the team can keep things going after the break.

Complaining about Horcoff shooting in the shootout is asinine. He's 50 percent on his career and it's a crapshoot.

Well earned point! Most entertaining game of the season by far! Would've loved the win, but hey the Nucks had a few posts, I'm just glad we gutted out the game and CAME BACK. A situation which has not happened enough at all this year.

We finally had our legs moving on the second half of a back to back. Including in the OT. Games like this (despite the loss) restore my faith in the future. Hall was absolutely flying tonight, and the OT was entertaining as hell.

Also, what to do with Hemsky

Great ******* game!

Seriously this has to be Suttons best year in a while. He's not been this good the past few years, maybe its the break he gets from suspension time or something lol.
