Looks like Mark Borowiecki and André Petersson have been re-assigned to #BSens with #Sens on All-Star break. They're here, but not on ice.

Via Joy....
.

Wanted to see more of Petersson.

She said "for the all star break". So maybe they will be back up later.

I think Bingo NEEDS them right now.

I'm hoping Borocop comes back after the allstar break. Bingo has a few games this weekend they probably really could use them for though.

I'm guessing Petersson was mostly called up to give Smith a full 2 weeks off after his concussion. They probably also don't want to pay these guys 5 times as much to sit on their ***** over the ASB while they miss AHL games.

Didn't Smith play in every game?

Do they get paid during the ASG? I though pay was based on the number of games
(for the organization, not by the player) during the call up period.

Nope, you get paid for days on the roster, I know someone who got a cup of coffee last year and his first check was a substantial amount.

To show how much of a difference it makes, here are some made up numbers to show the point.

If a players salary is 80,000/800,000...For easy math, let's say there's 200 days in a season.

80,000/200=400 a day
800,000/200=4,000 a day.

So if a player get's called up for 3 days but doesn't play, he's happy. His paycheck went from $5,600(400x14) to $16,400(400x11 + 4,000x3).

Unless one of the left side D has an injury or is traded I don't think we will see Borowiecki for a while. The pairings are set with Cowen, Kuba and Phillips on the left. As long as they are a limo ride away there is little reason to carry an 8th D.

My guess is that at some point it will be Wiercioch who will get a look-see if he gets back in game shape in the AHL.

I hope that after ASB they will recalled and especially Petersson will give more opportunities. 5 minutes and something... it is nothing.

Amazing that Locke is the only other All Star from a Calder team. Shows the turnover in a glaring light.

Keller added as well from last year's team.
