Last year was lots of fun, best time I've had watching this team in 7 years, but it just doesn't make any sense to try and make the playoffs this year.
Outside of Murray and Dumba, all of them look to be a bit of a project so it wouldn't matter that much.

Ah well ****, 4 wins in a row heading into 3 important divisional games at home. Looks like we're still in this race. (somehow)

I liked Mikkelson and Gervais on the PP. At least they shot the puck when they got it instead of forcing it to Marty or Stamkos (*cough* Kubina *cough*).

EDIT: And Sanford did his best Roli impersonation on the Thompson goal. I'll score it at about 8 out of 10.

Honestly. As great as this 4 game winning streak has been. Its means absolutely nothing if we dont take at least 2 of 3 games when we come out of the break against teams we are trying to either hop over or catch for a playoff spot.

Honestly the 4 games left on this homestand will pretty much make or break the season and determine if we are buyers(or neutral) or sellers at the trade deadline.

Point being is what's the point in playing only 1:21? Injury filler I guess. Boucher is pretty consistent with the ice time of the forward call ups though.

As much as I hate the Panthers, I hope if the Lightning do make a run and get in, its not at the expense of the Panthers. Id love to see both clubs get in, just to piss all the haters off.

Plus if they somehow play each other I can go to every game in the series haha.

Just imagine this guys. If somehow, someway both the Lightning and Panthers make the playoffs. Obviously the Panthers would have to stay solid to get in and the Lightning would need a serious ( but possible) run to get in.

Vancouver and Ottawa are the only Canadian teams in the playoffs right now. Ottawa isnt playing great right now and is slumping and I think is going to come back down to earth. They might fall out.

Imagine: FL and TB making the playoffs. Vancouver making it. There will be more FL teams in the playoffs than Canadian teams. Oh let the hilarity ensue.

At least Mikkelson played 18:46. He's been gradually working his way up to these minutes.

I would also like to see the panthers make the playoffs. It would be great for your team and your fans. And if it pushes Winnipeg, Toronto, or Washington out, that's even better!

I'm really liking the changes to the TBT Forum that Vinik has made. I think that it adds to the atmosphere big time. I'll always be partial to the cannon in Columbus, but that aside, I think the tesla coils are the best idea in the NHL. It's kinda cool.

I am disappointed the coils do not zap anybody on the ice. (Where is that Ovie gif anyway?) But that aside, it is cool. The organ setup is very nice. I stood in front of it in pregame and had a nice view of the ice. I wouldn't have an issue standing there for a whole game, either.

I would like to see it when it is all finished for sure.

I liked Oberg in the little we saw of him. Glad he finally got to play. Mikkelson is such a stud. SFY is some kind of wizard for getting him for Blair. All of our new guys have played extremely well in their roles and limited time on ice. I hope that when Pyatt and Shannon and Bergeron and Hedman return it doesn't screw up whatever it is the Lightning have right now

Also, that sequence in the 2nd where we kept the puck in the BJ's zone for like 2-3 minutes was absolutely amazing. Best hockey I've seen all year. And the Vinny to Marty goal was a real throwback beauty. Loved it. All-star break came at a terrible time.

I'm really impressed how smooth Mik is, though he needs to bulk up.

Mikkelson looked pretty good at the point on the PP. Pretty savvy trade for SFY.
