I think he's a lot more effective than Wolski... That's not saying much, though.
No but i would like to see him up next if an injury should occur. The problem is WW is in the way. Now even so it wont take more than one bad game of WW to get a call up maybe Zucc take his place.
To illustrate his talent and ability, heard last night during the win over the Jets:
"Hagelin is playing very well tonight. Every line he has been in tonight has been good" after being shifted through the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line during the match
Hagelin, taken in the sixth round (No. 168) of the 2007 Entry Draft, has eight goals, 16 points and a plus-13 rating in 29 games this season. He's spent most of the season on a line with center Derek Stepan and right wing Marian Gaborik.
Goes to show you you dont have to be that big. case in point Wolski has 4 inches and prob 40 pounds but is not nearly as effective. Hagelin might be faster but he gets it, and has the determination to make a play in those areas and does not shy away from contact like so many players do. I dont think he really need to add too much weight, if he does more so in the legs so he can be even faster lol. just a great suprise to see this kid this year. It should be fun to watch him fly in the rookie game.
he has an element of shiftiness along the boards that makes up for his relative small size. even the toughest d-men have fits with him. actually in person, he isn't that small but for some reason he looks small on the ice. Ive seen zuc in person too. he can pass for my brother in 5th grade.

a little like Petr Prucha but at a faster speed and more skilled.
Didn't even realize Hagelin was scoring at the same pace that Stepan did last year. Pretty impressive given the fact that he seems to play on a different line every night. I was skeptical of his offense translating at this level, but he's been playing very well. Reminds me a bit of Pascal Dupuis.
It's like they're trying to downplay his success by saying it's his linemates who are doing it for him... He's played, 3 games with those two?
Actually, they just saw a blur and assumed it was Hagelin's fast skating, not some utility third liner shifting into another dimension during most of his shifts.

That is exactly who he reminds me of. Great comparison.
