Would be great, I heard that regardless of the AHL team, the city is planning on building a mega complex

I know but I lost hope with Molson and I don't think it happens until the off season. I saved it though

Bulldogs moving to Laval for the 2013-2014 season (I would bet future seasons as well). More details in the business of hockey section.

****ing Andlauer or whatever his name is lied. Now I'll have to drive an hour and a bit and pay $100 for a cheap seat if I want to see hockey.

Sure it sounds ice to have the young guys nearby but this has fail written all over it. Montreal is a one hockey team city, so many junior team failed and I don't see why the AHL would succeed. Hope it does though...

*Yawn* this is about the fourth or fifth time that the Bulldogs have been rumored to move to Laval.

Feel sorry for Hamilton, in one year they go from having a great AHL team to maybe having an NHL team, to nothing.

Darn. Even though Hamilton is about 4 hours drive away, watching the Bulldogs win the Calder got my wife hooked on hockey.

Believe me, much rather the baby habs go to Fuzzy than Moomba.

That being said, get it done! I know they'd have a quite a few season ticket holders here on HF alone.

What I dont understand is that the arena in Laval will be built with no private cash, but rather with Municipal, Provincial and Federal money.

Why is building an arena for pro hockey with federal money OK in the Montreal region but not in Québec City? Where's the outrage in Montreal? (I remember a crapload of Montrealers being really pissed off at Québec City, where are they now?)

Why does Laval get the money and we dont? I really dont get it.

Born and raise in Laval

While it's true there are some unrecommended people at Moomba, it's a very nice and "uppé" place. I know for a fact that Jean Pascal goes there every, or almost every, Thursday to take a drink with his girl. It's one of the best clubs in Canada. If I ever see a player at Fuzzy laval, I demand he be traded immediatly!

'Some' is one of the biggest understatements I've heard in a while. I worked as a bouncer (didn't work at Moomba, per se) long enough to know what places to steer clear of. I saw Pascal there a few times, got to chat with Etienne Boulay and drink champagne from the Grey Cup.

Getting a bit off topic though, so PM me if you want to continue the discussion

Don't like the idea. Hamilton is good for development because it's a really awful place where nobody truly cares about AHL hockey. The players are focused on developing. In Laval they'll have ugly Laval women throwing themselves at them to get a chance to score with a future Hab.
