Bloody stupid move by Holmgren to waste assets just to grab some cap room! Why couldn't he have some foresight before bringing Niittymaki into an already full G situation? Typical knee-jerk reaction to ...

oh, it's not the Flyers. Never mind.

All my fantasy teams were fantastic until about two weeks ago. Now they are terrible.

They might have to compete with Columbus.

Liles is older than Carle and will be 35 at the end of the contract so Carle will get more.

You are probably right. They could use him but nothing will help Columbus.

Flyers can provide a decent goalie.

Curtis Sanford has been the only bright spot in Columbus this year. Nitty isn't much of an upgrade at this point (if any).

Meh, I don't really agree with that. Sanford is shaky, and I'd definitely feel more comfortable with Nittymaki in net.

It's official: Ben Holmstrom, Tom Sestito and Harry Zolnierczyk are all added to the Phantoms roster. Ben and Tom are definite tonight.
-Bob Rotruck

Dave said that they were sending down guys to play till after the allstar break. These guys were borderline AHL/NHL players. Speculation was that Gustafsson might have been sent down but he hasnt. Guess they see him having a spot on the team so far. Better than Lilja playing.

Good joke Hartnell told today on the radio that he heard between his father and Jagr.

(After the Devils game with Mr. Hartnell in town)
Jags: Okay, I've spoken with Holmgren, he'd like you to stick around. How does 1 year $2million sound?
Mr. Hartnell: Hahah, I don't know. I'm a family man and I'll need to get back to my wife soon enough.
(Next Day after Scottie's trick)
Jags: I spoke to Mr. Holmgren again. How about 2 years $5mil?
Mr. Hartnell: Weeeell...maybe.

Bob Mckenzie said he thinks that L.A would have interest in Carter.

well it makes sense doesnt it? with Richie and Hextall, Terry Murray, god damn it their whole organization has been a part of his tenure in Philly! I wonder how that would fair if he did go to LA?

Idk. I don't really think it'd go to well considering Carter would probably have to play wing there.

Man, I kinda feel bad for Carter. He's had one hell of a disappointing calendar year. I still do like him.

LA is probably the best fit for Carter IMO.

Dude, with Carter, LA would be a HUGE team. Kopitar, Carter, Penner, Brown and so on.

Makes sense. I wonder if they'd go after one of their defensemen instead, because their d-corp sucks badly.

edit: instead of Loktionov, prospect or NHL ready d-man

Yea thought about that. Maybe Voynov, Bernier, 2nd then?

I heard that they do not want to trade voynov whatsoever though. They really like his talent, and from watching theirs game often, the kid can play.
