Then there was the night in Hartford when Billy played for Wilkes Barre that some of his family apparently got into a fight in the stands after some Pack fans made some not nice comments about his time as a guest of the state of Massachusetts.
Thankfully they never sat in my section in Providence when I was really obnoxious in my younger days.
Yeah, except for the fact that game was a joke and the league should have never allowed it to happen as that team never even practiced together. Imagine when this team plays DANBURY....it will be worse.
Tibbetts was let go from his position as Player/Coach.
Surprising, considering the experience and points he was racking up.
I don't know the whole story, but if his release involves acting like he has in the past (alleged bad teammate, wanting to move onto a bigger league, etc.), then it's not surprising. I can't find anything online that mentions it. I checked the FHL site and Cape Cod's site (he's still listed on the player page), so I'm gonna wait before I make any other comments.
Who in the real world would give this guy a job with his track record?
think he had his own landscaping place going a year ago, but I can't imagine that business would be booming in Massachussetts in mid-January.
From what I saw on the Cape Cod site, he was a healthy scratch for a game or two in early January. That could be anything, but based on past instances....see where I'm going?

He's remained relatively quiet for several years out of hockey. Don't be so naive to think that all employers care what your criminal history is as long as you do the job for them.
I worked behind the scenes in a glorified beer league too once, if a guy has another job or something better to do that night, they don't show up.
If he landscapes, he might plow snow too.....maybe he could have made more money doing that on Saturday.

From what I heard he got into it with the owner after the team lost a few games on the road, and that was the last the players heard from him.

true. Never really thought about landscaping including snow. Used to being a little further south where it's usually used to mention trees, shrubbery, grass and every green thing in between.

I think the owner is also the head coach. Mike Hedges or something like that? I thought Dave Monteiro was supposed to be the coach up there based on an article they put on the website, but he's not listed anymore and no mention made of what happened to him.

Right, the owner is listed as the head coach, but Tibbetts was acting as player/coach.
