just trying to figure out why he wouldnt be a good fit

26 years old
6' 2"
201 lbs
shoots right
on pace for 20 goals +
2.3 cap hit

would probably look nice on our third line with Eller and Ak

In the ballpark of a late 1st rounder.

A 2nd rounder and Diaz to Tampa for Purcell is the deal I'd do.

Can't see too much wrong with this deal. Maybe a conditional 4th/5th next year if we don't re-sign Diaz.

Id rather keep the 2nd round pick and Diez rather than waste it on Purcell.

What if you went Weber for Purcell, straight up?

Sure i guess. Weber is expendable from a habs standpoint.

Weber for Purcell sounds good.

We give up the better/more upside guy and we get a perfect fit.

Moen is UFA at the end of the year and if Blunden is penciled in as a top-9 player, we're in trouble.

He would look good with Ak and Eller for sure hell this would probably make a pretty good 2nd line and it would be our 3rd. I'v seen a couple of games this year for the lightnings and i don't understand why Boucher don't use him more he has decent speed good hands and a good shot.

He is a lot better than Downie or Malone but he plays with scrubs like Thompson and still manages to have a decent year. I would gadly welcome him in montreal he is a guy that can play top line minutes and won't hurt your team while putting decent numbers.
