I agree that Plekanec is not the ideal 1st line center but like Koivu, management can't seem to find a better center. So with the way that DD is playing this season, let say he's the 1st center, what's with Plekanec on the 2nd line that you are not satisfied?

I'd trade Plekanec even tho I think he's better than DD and his value is higher IMO. I'm fine with DD on our "2nd" line with Cole and Patch. Would you do Pleks + 1st round (or prospect) for Jeff Carter?

I don't know about "need", but I'd be curious to see what Desharnais + Moen would return. Those are two guys whose values I think may be at all time highs.

How about Plekanec Subban 1st rounder for Boyle?

Boyle is 6'7", that would give us a #1 center with size winning us multiple cups.
