If they had Doan last summer, they might be champions right now.

Just like if we had Hamhuis, Rome, and Raymond we might be champions. Besides, Doan is older than all those players, he might've been a part of that long list of injuries.

What everyone ALWAYS forgets is the Canucks made it one win short of the CUP without having a 2nd line RWer.

Mikael Samuelsson was lost for the entire postseason, but had been part of a pretty good 2nd line for the majority of 2 seasons in Vancouver.

A lot of people forget this loss.

The Canucks had no reason to add Doan last year, as they were set up pretty well prior to Samuelsson's injury. Would they have loved to have Shane Doan? Hell yes, but could they have afforded the price it would take to sign him from a playoff team as a non-rental? NO!

If the asking price is only a first you have to do it IMO.

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Doan
Raymond-Hodgson-Higgins
Hansen-Lapierre-Malhotra

Seems legit. All we need to do is fine the cap space for Doan.

Wouldn't make sense on the Blues. I know he has playoff experience, which the Blues lack, but I like our 4th line as it is.

Kings need a bottom six guy badly. I wouldn't mind Moen being that guy at all.

Raymond to me is redundant in that lineup....keep Hansen with Hodgson and Higgins (Bob Cole's nightmare).

Move Raymond for help on Defense and acquire a bigger body for the 4th line (although I have no problem rolling with Weise their).

I don't know about anybody else, but I'll gladly give up our late 2nd for Moen. I'll even drive it to the airport.

I would not.

His minutes will go from 18 a game to approx. 8 in Vancouver.

The value of that 2nd (even though its late) is more than an upgrade on the 4th line.
