Where did I say it was? I just don't see the point of sending him to Oklohoma to try to develop him into a top 6. I don't see that upside.

That doesn't mean I have anything against Lander.

Plenty of 3rd/4th line centers developed their offensive game in the AHL.

Practically all of them, actually.

Sure he's playing good as a 4th liner and taking on PK responsibilities. But being in the bottom 6 doesn't mean you have absolutely no offense.

Didn't say that either.

My point is simply that he is developing in the role that he is going to play in his career IMO. Sending him to OKC to play top 6 minutes doesn't make a lot of sense to me. That is not going to be his role.

Are you implying guys that play a top-6 role in the AHL translate to a top-6 role in the NHL and guys that play a bottom-6 role in the AHL translate to a bottom 6 role in the NHL?

No but if he can get some offense, he should be a great #3 C. With Omark being back and Paajarvi going down, it's the perfect time to send him down for a brief stint to see what he can do against weaker competition

Ideally, Lander gets at least 10 games down in OKC so he's eligible for the AHL play-offs.

Who's calling him a bust? A 20 year old cannot be a best, however he does need to stay in OKC for awhile, get a sack and learn to use his physical gifts to his advantage.
