I'd rather he be "temperamental" than a diver.

Or he can just take it, the Wings pull the players away... and the next thing you know players know they can get away with it like they can the Sedins. Eff that. I say good on Jimmy Howard, and any goalie in the league that sticks up for themselves... no matter how much hate they get on any forum.
What are you watching?! Petro was going for the puck while the play was still alive. You can clearly see the puck in the air as Petro is trying to jam it pass Howard. How long have you watched hockey? It's something that 100% of the players in the league do. Petro also had 8 total penalty minutes for the year before this game. He's not a dirty player...

I have no problem with goalies defending their crease and the occasional "whack" to the back of the legs for the player screening them, but I thought what Jimmy did the other night was embarrassing. I couldn't help but laugh even though I was pissed at the game.

Not sure about scrappiest but he's definitely the angriest right about now.

I think I found out why you're pissed. Howard shut the door on the Blues.

Are you kidding me? One of the Blues players tried to punch him. Watch the frickin replay. Unlike most teams, Howard has almost no one on the Wings willing to stick up for him, so he sticks up for himself. I have nothing but respect for that. He doesn't take crap from anyone. It's not like he starts these fights, he's standing up for himself. I guess you're less of a baby if you take punches to the face and let yourself get run nowadays.

Tim Thomas gets my vote after he cross checked Sedin into next week during last year's SCF.

Would love to see him go against Brent Johnson and to see Johnson teach him a lesson.

Exactly what I came here to post. Howard is like that annoying kid who is too big to be sitting in the shopping cart, screaming in the checkout line for some gummy bears.

You do realize one of the Blues guys punched Howard n the head to start that end game scrum, right? That's why they call it the Blues...

And if Backes explodes into Howard, he's going to be out for 5 games. So yea...good leader.

Mike Smith's "scrappiness" is severely underrated in this thread.

You guys are dumb, Roloson is clearly the crappiest goalie in the league.

I dont think anybody is whining about the loss, we deserved to lose that game. Just simply pointing out that Howard is a ****** bag.

When Lehner becomes a regular here, he'll own the title and it won't be close. Dude is a hardcore rager.

What are you talking about? Making crap up in your head to make yourself feel better? This thread was made in reference to that game right after it was over, by a Wings fan... Which by the why, ended up to be a joke of a poll.

The only reason Id ever whine about Howard as a Blues fan is because the guy pounced on Perron in one of his first games back after he missed 13 months from a concussion. Perron got pushed into Howard (by Stuart I think) and then falls over after the whistle blows. Howard then decided that he's too much of a badass to get bumped during hockey game and punched Perron in the face a couple times when he was already laying on the ice.
That event is the only reason I'll think all of Howard's "scraps" as hissy fits.

Yup. That is when I lost any respect I had for the kid.

NOT Tim Thomas. Price would have knocked him out had Price not let up. He hit him with a soft one there and that was it for Thomas

Howard and Price are both pretty scrappy.

Lets not forget Mike Smith though!

The only ****ed up thing about the Howard vid is no one sticking up for him on the Wings. I do love seeing goalies get rough though.
