A great event is taking place this weekend at the Ice Palace at WEM this weekend as the U of A ringette team is hosting the 3rd Annual Ringette Scores on Cancer event, with all proceeds going to the Cross Cancer Institute. Ringette teams from all over Alberta, and a couple from Saskatoon, are taking part in a three day tournament. There will also be a media/celebrity vs the U of A team on Sunday at 12:30.
If you're in the area, pop in and check it out, if even to pick up a raffle ticket to win a Hall or Eberle signed jersey. The goal for the event is to raise $100,000, and they are well on their way as they just topped $60,000 this morning.
