Didnt watch it, but can't believe the last pick got a car again. That is just the most absurd thing ever, as a prize for being a multi-millionaire, and being recognized as 1 of the best players in the league, here is more money!!!!!

why don't they take the money the car costs, and give it to a charity of hte players choice?

They give 20000$ to the charity (or local community?) of the players choice as well.

I dont see how that matters at all. I mean surely everyone who earns less than several million/yr and isnt playing a sport for a living is jealous of the money these guys make

Im hardly saying i want the car instead, im saying its silly that the world is in a bad economic state, yet a millionaire is being given a car because he had to wait 1 minute longer than anyone else to get picked for a team

Quick + Giroux = win

And I don't see what's so crazy about him going that early. He's been nothing but spectacular since the season started.

The only ones that aren't are 16 year old kids that have no idea what it's like in the real world.

The whole format is silly. What's the point of giving a car away that the "winner" doesn't even want?

I saw Jack Johnson driving down the street in a Ferrari California. The idea that if he made the All-Star game he'd give a **** about a Kia is pushing it a little far. Not that it makes it any more unwatchable. The horrifically bad interviews and useless commentary does most of the work.

Everyone just looks uncomfortable about the whole thing. At least when the car was secret you could have a little fun with it. Now that it's all blatant it's just another boring useless all-star commercial tie-in.

All I care about is that Quick doesn't get hurt.

they really should changed the format so that the last 4 players get randomly drawn like Burke suggested. It's a pretty raw deal to be picked last so publicly.

I don't see what it matters. I'm sure these players can handle being picked last. They aren't little kids.

Quick better take it nice and slow in the race. I don't want him getting hurt doing some stupid race.

Awww, poor kid gets picked last at the NHL all star game. I'm pretty sure he's stoked to be there.
