A lot. Police are short staffed, homicide rates are much higher than compared to most other cities, violent crime is a huge problem. And, most recently Oakland made California proud by botching the entire "Occupy" protests as violence squeezed it's ugly head in the middle of things.

Oh and drugs, drugs are a big problem in the East Bay, ranging from Crockett to Oakland, including cities like Rodeo, El Sobrante, San Pablo, and Richmond.

Yeah. This pretty much sums up the place. Understaffed PD, homicide is rates are comparable to Hayward's (Which is pretty bad lol), and it's a dump.

I've been there on a fishing trip (Don't ask, we were fishing for Salt water fish.) and I am still scared to come back. The positive? I caught a 42 inch sturgeon and cooked up.

Upon DLing a free copy of Office from Berkeley, it turns out they have Windows 7 for free as well. Nice.

You're pretty late to the party bro. Almost all 4 year Uni's have windows 7 free for students.

Lol, did not know that. But it's not like I need it to be honest, I already have Win 7 installed (bought it long time ago with student discount for 30 bucks). I have 32-bit but to get 64-bit, you have to do a clean install and I don't feel like erasing everything I have.

Just got done making this, took the pictures yesterday. I took a picture a minute for almost 90 minutes but the lens got super fogged up so I had to stop and omit a bunch of pictures. I plan on trying again soon.

Nice work! Great timing as well, San Francisco is one of the most gorgeous cities when the lights are on. Where did you shoot, Berkeley Marina?

I mean all I do mostly is browse HF, homework, make my terrible mspaint stuff for HF and watch movies. I don't think 64 will improve any of that over 32.

I have a 64 bit Win7
The only real difference I noticed between the 2 is that 64bit OS is mostly protected against rootkits while 32bit OS usually has like 3 or 4 root kits dropped after a computer gets hit by a nasty trojan. That and compatibility issues (some things work only for 32bit).

Treasure Island, I love that spot. If you're in the city you don't have to pay a toll to go there but if you're coming from eastbay you do.

And a whole bunch of 5+ 4+ quakes in Japan.

Pacific Rim is shaking.

Apparently, I have lifetime Rhapsody service free or at some discounted price that I can't remember as a residual of an experimental UCB program from 2004.

Not a student, just a hobby.

Not a student, just a hobby.
Even for a hobby you seem to have a great amount of commitment for it, or at least for this specific project. And, commitment beats out any type of training/skill/talent.

The power is out and my phone is at 30%. Do I suckle some power off the UPC running the reef tank or suck it up and turn the phone off? First world problems are hard.

A few days away from home and my younger bro has settled already to my room. Hopefully he has stayed away from my (beer)fridge and hasn't deleted any stuff from my pc/ps3.

I'll spare KM from the details of what has happened during the weekend.

Thanks for the info, I'll remember to stay away from the shadowy place if I ever wander to California.

Brofist, we had a 13 hour power outage at the end of December. Would have sucked if it was cold, but it was over 0 celsius so it wasn't that bad.
