It is obviously Jagr who is the reason that these two are at the ASG. But yet, we can say Lemiuex helped Jagr become the player he is today, so it is because of Lemiux that Jagr helped those two to get to the ASG.

Someone didnt watch Hartnell at the beginning of the season when not on Giroux's line?
I like Hartnell, and one of the few people who supported him on these boards, but it's foolish to think Giroux is there because of Hartnell.

Giroux would still be an all star without Hartnell on the line but I absolutely believe Hartnell IS a big reason Giroux has so many points this year so far.

Fair enough. I guess if we are talking about parts, JVR was also a part of the reason I guess (since he played on Giroux's line at one point).
That being said, if Hartnell is part of Giroux's reason, than Giroux is the full reason why Hartnell is there.

hartnell has been on giroux's line much more often than JVR so hartnell has played a larger role
also hartnell has a lot of goals/assists on different line combinations so he can score without giroux

Not really... He was terrible when on other lines in the beginning of the season.

very rarely has he been on the giroux/jagr line exclusively for an entire game
laviolette puts him on other combinations as well such as with briere and simmonds and others
