They ran into a hot goaltender, and terrible reffing. LE seems to have the Dogs number, they don't seem to play well against them and that was with LE having both their goalies out.
At least Lawson has looked better in the last 2 games as he wasn't very good in the outdoor game.
Also heard that Conboy is now listed as out for the season.
Yeah I heard that as well. Too bad could have used him down the stretch. Do you know what happened? I originally heard he would be back by February.

I would be surprised if Beaulieu is back in the Q next year, I expect him to be in Hamilton.
I suppose it's possible but the historically the Habs have their prospects play 2 years of junior after being drafted. I realize Beaulieu is playing very well but I can see management seeing value in having him dominate in the Q and play World Juniors again.

That's because most can't go to the AHL until their two CHL years are up. Beaulieu's birthday means he gets to go to the A quicker.

Usually, you have to wait 2 years anyway because of the CHL to AHL age restriction (20 years old), but Beaulieu is a late '92 (December 5) so I believe he can make the jump next year. It's not like he had anything else to prove in junior anyway...

It all depends what happens in the off season. I don't know if there will be space for him on the wings on the top 3 lines. You have to figure that we'll still have Cole, Patches, Gionta, Bourque. I guess we'll see what will happen with Kostitsyn, Gomez and Moen.

As others have said, it's about the birthyear when talking about CHL draft picks. Take a look at Mathieu Carle, Matt D'Agostini, Mathieu Aubin, etc... these guys were late B days when drafted, played one more year in the Q and then the following year they turned pro.
Since Beaulieu turns 20 before Jan 1st, that means he is eligible to play in the AHL next year, so one would think that management would prefer to have him in the AHL then the Q as a 20 year old. And he is not eligible to play in the WJC's next year, he will be 20 before the tournament starts.

Leblanc has been on the wing all year in Hamilton, so I don't think he'll be used at center going forward but that's just a guess on my part. Lefebvre and Berger should be in the ECHL now so going there next year makes sense depending on how the roster shapes up. Berger when he plays has really struggled so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't send him to the ECHL next year if there's no room.
I assume Willsie is gone for sure, he's been more of a bust signing imo. Bishop has had numerous injuries at the same time, not sure if he will be back or not, even if so he can go to the ECHL as well if need be. Engqvist and Palushaj have to clear waivers so we might not see them in Hamilton again after this year.

When a top-six-type Dog comes up to the Habs, do you think it's better to follow a "hierarchy" development where he gets 4th line shifts and maybe rises up; or to drop him right into the top six??

I kind of thing it depends on the situation. If he's stuck on a third line with Eller and Kostitsyn, I see no problem with putting him there. But it makes no sense putting a player like Leblanc or Palushaj on a line with Darche and Blunden.

I kind of thing it depends on the situation. If he's stuck on a third line with Eller and Kostitsyn, I see no problem with putting him there. But it makes no sense putting a player like Leblanc or Palushaj on a line with Darche and Blunden.
I like that thinking, if we need a 4th liner maybe we should bring up the Dogs best grinder instead of their "best player." And if we need a top line guy then have best Dog play on the top line, because "promoting" a roster grinder and then slotting the Dog on the 4th maybe hurts two lines.
