With but a few weeks till before the deadline, which current Hab will be the first traded?
I think if a Hab was to be traded RIGHT NOW, it would be Chris Campoli. With that in mind an injury to a offensive defencemen is what we should be hoping for right now, ideally to unload Tomas Kaberle for something (although the return would not be what he got at the deadline, his increased play may be beneficial to getting something semi-useful in return.)
There are other candidates to move (Hal Gill, Travis Moen if he doesn't sign an extension, Andrei Kostistyn (if we can get adequate return: i.e. good prospect and a 3rd rounder), possibly/hopefully Kablerle, and Weber.) Ideally, I'd like to have a lot of second ruond picks in this year's draft as it's really deep!
You're happy but who replaces him? Trade him for a pick or prospects it's nice but who comes and take his place Aaron Palushaj? If Kostitsyn is traded it better be for another top winger, Gauthier would be really stupid to trade him for picks and prospects

With Moen I'd offer him a deal on deadline day, a lucrative one, something more than fair for both parties. Maybe 1 extra year to give Moen some stability, similar cap hit he'd get elsewhere. (Like the Cole contract)
I think if they win the next few games and feel they have a shot, they'lll push for playoffs. If they lose and widen the gap, then it's time to sell off assets.
Gill and Moen are very good defensive depth options for contenders ,and were both key components when they won cups.
Kostitsyn could bring back the highest return, probably a prospect and 2nd round pick.
Campoli has 0 value.
Moen's the only guy on the likely to be traded list who might bring in real value. Gill, Campoli and Weber are all guys I hope/expect to see moved out before the deadline, but I can't see any of them bringing back much. A 3rd for Gill would be great. Campoli and Weber won't bring bupkus, I suspect.
