Montreal??? Are you kidding... In no way he wants to play there.
And since when are you a competitive team???
He was treated like a rock star by the Quebec fans ,when he played his jr hockey, and you can watch the videos he loved every minute of it .He has his jersey hanging high in the rafters in Quebec .Patrick Roy was his coach, who is now rumored to become Montreal's new coach.
I edited the title to make this an all purpose Radulov talk thread to keep down on the herpaderpa. Kinda surprised there wasn't one here to begin with. Radulov talk isn't going to go away until he either comes back to the NHL or retires from pro hockey alltogether.
Again, please do not ask about the worthiness of a thread or if it should be stickied. If you don't like it you can ignore it. If you have a question, PM a moderator about it rather than posting it in the thread. I have already mentioned this once.
Just read a Russian article from last month and it does sound like he is seriously thinking about coming back to NHL. There is a note in his contract, Rads says in the article, that would let him come as early as next season (2012). He knows he would be playing in Nashville since the club has the rights and he hopes to discuss an agreement/conditions beforehand. He wants to play in Nashville, he says so in the article, and has good and close relations with the club and the teammates.
Having said that he hasn't made a final decision but he wants to grow as a hockey player and that (accord to him) would be in NHL.
To me personally, it sounds like he is very serious about coming back.
If you are able (and it seems like you are), would you be willing to translate that article to English for us? Or send me a link? - other than to google translate
Sound like he is heading here this coming summer!!!
But it seems he doesn't want to be bend over like Yashin with contract
Looks like his agent is already working on new agreement with Preds. I guess he wants to come back with agreement in place and on good conditions. But it is nice to see that only Nashville in mind and he doesn't expect anything from new CBA for his advantage.

Gotta wonder what kind of extension rads would want. It will be a gamble on both sides.

Yes great find! Would love for him to be back in НЭШВИЛЛ
Definitely not trying to be a debbie downer here, but I'll get excited when the ink is dry, lol. I'm more cautiously optimistic than I have been in a long time however, based on what we've been hearing the past several months.

I'll be excited after he's played an entire season with us, without being traded or being a nuisance in the locker room
According to Alessandro Seren Rosso, who is as reliable as anyone when it comes to Russian hockey news, Radulov's agent confirmed that his deal with Salavat will allow him to return to the NHL after the current KHL season.
it'd be something else to get Radulov this season, but I can't imagine he'd skip the world championships..a tournament he's valued greatly in the past. With all of the political issues he might be creating by abandoning the KHL, I can't imagine he'd burn this bridge too. I think best bet is next season.

If he were to come back and play here next season, after that last year on his ELC would he be ufa or rfa?
