Value of: Pitkanen to NJ

I know that Pitkanen has some issues with health right now but lets assume that he comes back OK

would the Canes be interested in something like WSH 2nd + Nick Palmieri? from what I gather, they are in need of NHL ready forward prospects and Palmieri fits the bill. Devils would also probably have to throw in some salary back the other way

How can you have so many posts and think you could get Pitkanen for a 2nd and a prospect who has shown nothing to date in the nhl?

Pitkanen is a great hockey player, no doubt, and hes on a very good contract, but I'm not a big fan of the way he plays the game in terms of intensity. He just doesn't seem to want it very badly and I've heard he can be a bit of a headcase.

I honestly wouldn't be interested unless the asking price was relatively low. Or you wanted to throw in Skinner
