These lists really need to be weighted by salary or NHL playing time or something. We've had a few bang ups here and there, but NOTHING compared to recent years in terms of having our entire Bridgeport team playing (insert joke about our NHL team being an AHL team when healthy). Losing 4th liners and players on 2-way contracts for chunks of time should not compare to losing top line superstars for the season. The Islanders get an automatic 82 every year from DP. If it is weighted by his average playing time over the past 5 years, the number would shrink in importance.
