When were you in the room to gauge the mood?

I dont have to be when theres media reports saying Suter received texts/calls from teamates asking what he said to the media WORRIED about what was said by him. If his comments were so clear and nice he wouldnt have had to restate his statements. Things aren't said in a vacuum and have consequences like we have seen with all the media attention around his comments.

Unless a bona fide star with multiple years left is coming back, Ellis or Josi won't be traded. No need to worry there.

Pretty crappy lackluster effort tonight. Seems like we're losing every one on one battle, we're soft on the puck, and getting out hustled. Also seems like we're getting crushed in the face off dot, and when when we do with the faceoffs, the Wild are hustling to pressure the puck (see Heatley's first goal).

The effort is pretty depressing seeing as the division lead is right in front of us.

This is the same media that put words into Suter's mouth and made claims about his comments that his words don't support. Look at Milbury's comments after the second set of quotes that were still inaccurate ... specifically that he was definitely testing free agency when Suter's first set of quotes didn't say that and the second specifically countered it.

Any comment from us claiming that we know what the mood is in the room or what any person besides ourself thinks is in a vacuum and most likely inaccurate.

If your wishing for Hemsky you you will have to wait. Poile has a history of rarely doing anything until close to the deadline. Fisher last year was his earliest that i can recall. Hopefully he did not feel to wild or dirty after making a move early and will pull the trigger early so who we do get gels with the team earlier.

Dont be surprised if the season goes downhill from here. I hope not. But with the recent Suter/Weber drama I wouldnt be surprised.

Even without the Suter/Weber deal I wouldn't have been surprised.

Yikes. We've won 12 of our last 15 and we're panicking?

We had a bad game. Yes we, sucked tonight. It happens. I'm just waiting for the next one before i say the sky is falling.

I'll tell you what you missed:
several minutes of SUCK. This could apply to virtually the whole game.
Like this team spent the break reading its own press clippings.

Weber with a -2 so far and a penalty that resulted in a goal.
Suter a - 2 so far and on the ice for that PP goal against.
Klein even with an assist ... and a terrible job handling the puck behind the net leading to the PP goal against.

Fisher -3

At least Smith showed up tonight.

Tootoo is back to the Toots of old .... no goals in approaching six weeks. Peks looking quite mortal.
Unfortunately, a quite common game for us with more than two days rest.

Ive been on plenty of hockey teams and i know if someone was to say something that even portrayed being unconfident in the current group or whatever, than there are going to be some negative feelings. Whether a player/person choses to show it or not.

saying everything is just dandy and Suter is a saint is also completely false.

Though I've been probably the biggest critic of what's transpired over the last few days, and the fact that Suter/Weber haven't stepped up, I'm not ready to throw in the towel on the season. But part of me wonders what the effects on the locker room Suter's BS will have.

Hope it doesn't turn into the type of black cloud that followed the team at the start, before Rinne's signing, where everyone on the team talked about how much "bad news" there was until Rinnne signed.

These two in particular with worst performance for both in the same game in recent memory.

I'm probably the biggest advocate of getting rid of fisher when his contract expires

The sky isn't falling yet but today is not a good way to start the post all-star stretch and with Weber/Suter causing unnecessary if unintended distractions, and the fact that we have a terribly difficult schedule its not hard to mistake breaks between the clouds for cracks in the sky.
