I'm tired of voting for JT since he's pretty much the player of every game. So I voted for Rakhshani. Thought he was very noticeable and really liked that he was firing at the net a lot. Many of the Isles could learn from that kid.

Tavares. This is getting redundant.

If this keeps up, you might have to start the poll, "Player of the Game, Not Including Tavares".

Gotta go with the 26th best player in the league younger than 25.

Given the roll he's on, this might be the way to go, unless we go with three stars of the game

I putting in my write-in vote for Donny Duckworth.

Seriously, though, Tavares was great as usual.

I have to point out that I was impressed with Rakhshani's game, too. I'm extremely impressed with his hockey sense. He's going to be a player in this league. I don't know what his numbers will be like, but I do see him as a Ray Whitney-type. This is the first time I've seen him play. I was away on business last year and couldn't see Islander hockey. Drafted in the same year as Okposo, he seems to trump Okposo in hockey sense. I'm not being hard on Kyle, because I like him, but he's a good example of someone who just needs to play the game and not think.

As I said in my original post (Which I always write before reading what anyone else says), I am very impressed with his hockey sense. So we're on the same page here.

Tavares..

How nice is it to look at the league leaders and see JT tried for 4th in points and PAP 5th in assists?

Rakh looked great, is there a vote for rookie of the game?

I lean towards Poulin. He made a lot of key saves that could have gone the other way.

Watch the highlights again on NHL.com. If not for Poulin early in the game, it wouldn't have been much of a game.
