Saturday night, the Islanders honored Patty's recent induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame, giving the former Long Island great his moment in the spotlight. With the fans at the Coliseum to remember LaFontaine as a man and a hockey player, we felt it only appropriate to get their thoughts on number 16.

Not a Hot Ticket
Islanders raise their prices and fans are staying home

"Especially with our team off to an excellent start, advance sales have grown tremendously over the last few weeks," said Paul Lancey, the Islanders senior vice president of sales and marketing. "That said, this is an organization that listens to its fans. As a result, you will see several ticket plans and pricing options announced in the coming month that we feel respond to our fans' concerns."

Islanders Give Atlanta a Gift
Lose 2-goal lead at home

Usually, Stirling finds some good news in his team's performances, even after losses. But he was hard-pressed for positives after last night.

Isles drift off, fall at home

When asked if there were any positives to take out of the end of the Isles' four-game unbeaten streak, coach Steve Stirling replied: "Not one. I usually can take one (positive). I have a silver lining, but I honestly can't take one, unless you can find one for me."

Impressive Homestand Is Suddenly Less So

Thrashers 4, Islanders 3
Saving a win from familiar deficit

But improbable is becoming redundant the way this team wins, as they fell behind by two goals for the eighth time in 10 games. This one didn't bother coach Bob Hartley as much as Friday's 4-2 loss at Columbus, as he thought the Islanders earned their first two goals, as opposed the first two that he said they "donated" against Columbus.

SOUND TIGERS TIE P-BRUINS 1-1

The Sound Tigers tied the score at 1-1 when former “P-Bruin” Eric Manlow scored his first goal of the season with 8:36 left in the middle frame. Jeff Hamilton and Alain Nasreddine, who was playing his first game of the season after sitting out with a back injury, assisted on the equalizer.

what a surprise....Hahn singled out Yashin again for 'failing to score' and just passing on critical comment of Peca for 'not registering a shot on goal'

Hahn refuses to criticize Peca...if Yashin had 2 goals (1 in 7 games before a freebie EN for his 2nd), Hahn would be all over him like last year...column after column...but Peca has this critique 'shield' b/c of his injuries and defensive play...

Peca is going from Capt. Crunch to Capt. Shy ...

i will say it, i think that Hahn is a poor writer. He writes about Dumb things, and never anything important..I also think he has a love affair with peca
