Coulda just been on the TV game clock and not the Staples actual game clock. The TV clock is not always in sync with the actual clock. No matter, the Kings finally get a BIG goal!!! Woohoo!!

They do realize that they run separate clocks right? Scoreboard and timekeepers.
the clock on the TV is not the official clock but if it was reversed we would all be driving to Toronto with torches

The clock did seem to stutter at 1.8 seconds remaining. Awkward. I'll take it though. Nothing that can be done about it.

Exactly. They have two separate clocks one of them showed, the one that didn't pause, that the puck was in before time expired. That simple.

I love fans that aren't ours grasping at straws muahahaha!

So basically whenever Williams turned the puck over TM was all over his ass.

Sutter takes the bad with the good.

From a CBJ fan standpoint, we've lost so many games late that I am unfazed by it.

From a league rules standpoint, I hope if there was an error it is fixed for future games. Had this happened in a game involving, say, Vancouver or Boston or another top-tier team, HFBoards would have crashed already.

Needed to clinch the playoffs without a tie - 91 points (which actually lands the #7 spot). 15-15-1 (.500 hockey) does it.

Needed to move up to the #6 spot - 106 points. 23-8 (.742 hockey) does it.

Needed to take the Pacific and move up to the #3 spot - 107 points. 23-7-1 (.758 hockey) needed for that.

Sutter Points Percentage (SPP) now stands at .722 -- good enough to keep the Kings treading water in 7th.

Lol that would be pretty fail worthy if they had one guy sit down there with a stopwatch, and his job was to click the stopwatch whenever he thought play stopped.

How could it be an error if one of the clocks, the clock that did not stutter showed that the puck crossed before the time expired? Yea maybe the timekeepers clock stuttered, but the scoreboard kept running.

It's not like they would just say

"Aaaah **** it they win whatever, it's only Columbus."

BTW Chazz was way too slow in closing that GDT. Telos would have had that done as Doughty's shot was crossing the goal line.

Whoa whoa whoa. Timeout here. I had it all closed up and I was ready to link to the postgame thread and here comes Telos on his high horse stealing my thunder. I had to get the last word in, though.

Drew Doughty has 15 points in the last 19 games (2-13=15)

Am I the only one upset that we were 0.4 seconds away from going to OT to the worst team in the league, who just so happened to be missing their top two centers and a 2nd pair dman?

Lol, Fox just said that the clock that stopped at 1.8 seconds is the official game clock. And it DEFINITELY stopped for more than .4 seconds. Oh well, I'll take it.

Good 'ol NotHelen. Shouldn't it be a 5-2 league against a team like Columbus.
Is she ever happy?
