Indeed an excellent interview. Got me all choked up when Strombo brought up Brendan... you could just feel every ounce of sadness in Burke's voice. Really tough stuff.

I agree with him on all of his comments. About the rats, Ovi, Thomas, everything. Leaf fans are extremely lucky to have him lead this organization.

+1

just a stand-up guy, and i have a ton of respect for him. what he's done for homosexuality in particular, takes a ton of courage given the role/public figure he is. i remember one of the interviews he did with his son, prior to his death, and i was amazed/shocked he was so publicly vocal/supportive of such a taboo subject.

Caught that part, but Strombo I don't think he brought up Brendon by name but rather by association and that is what choked up Burke if I recall correctly. I liked his Bush comments and how Bush knew who he was, he said "you are the guy that brought the cup out to my boys". His boys were the soldiers at Camp Pendleton.

Thanks for sharing. I got a little choked up myself hearing Burke talk about his son; George should have changed the topic without Burke having to ask him.

Really? Burke is an avid supporter of LGBT, and is a very ethical person. Can't ever see him being a Republican supporter.

Strombo is an outstanding interviewer. He's just not good at trying to be funny.

What a contrast from that interview and the image the jack***es on the main forum are trying to convey of him. Night and Day.

Said it before and I'll say it again, Burke is the most valuable member of this team and organization.

yea he has actually been the best thing to happen to this team. Whatever MLSE guy said that Brian should be the next GM is the genius of the Leafs in the last at least 20 years. Love the direction of this team and how they act in public (if your loud or quite)

Believe me, the policies of the Conservative Party of Canada is too liberal for even some Democrats.
