4 games with over 15minutes of ice time, battled a concussion and other injuries since training camp and hasn't been utilized in an offensive role (save for 2 games with G and Hartnell) while mostly playing wing. He's 20 years old, anyway...

As someone who watches the kid play, him and Couturier are gonna be really good. Schenn's gonna be a stud 'cause he can grind and play a skill game too. Mike Richards anyone?

He's still one of the top prospects in hockey.

D. He has #1C potential, only a matter of time before he becomes a fixture in this organization/league.

Not to mention he battled an injury (concussion?) this season.

This thread is absolutely atrocious.

Why is this thread atrocious?

There is not a single person saying he is a bust.

This thread has literally invented a faction of people that supposedly called him a bust.

This, this and this. HFboards has literally 100,000 members and 37,000,000 posts, there are going to be people who are positive and negative about literally every player in the league. Do we really need a new thread every time a few of those 100,000 members make a slightly negative post about a young player? The "HFboards consensus" about Brayden Schenn is NOT that he's a bust, most people are pretty positive about him, the OP is just way too touchy.

Then he had a great WJC and people thought he was gonna be putting up mad points.

He's going to be just fine. I am loving Richards, but both teams did well in that trade.
Agreed. His dominance of the WJC led to too much hype. I still think he will be a good 2nd line Center on a great team, or a #1 Center on an average or below average team.

So wait, if OP doesn't think he's a bust and most of the people posting don't think he's a bust, why is there a thread?

A bust at 20? Right on..

Gotta love the cheapshot at Leaf fans, as well. Most have been wanting him bad. Myself, I think he is overrated a little but will probably be a 75 point player. Alot seem to think 85-90 but I think it might be a little too much to expect. I'd still really like the Leafs to go after him, we need a legit top line center. Ironically I would offer Schenn as part of a deal for Schenn. It'd be kind of interesting

It's gonna be the first one, and that team is the Flyers.

He is coming around. He broke his foot and he had concussion plus he had some minor shoulder injury at the beginning of the season. That’s 3 injuries in since October. You can say that B.Schenn has been through a lot this season. Kid will score some points and will always throw a hit. Not worried about B.Schenn just like I am not worried about JVR scoring points

QFT.

Haven't seen Shenn play much this year, but it's still way too early to be making conclusions like this.

Schenn may be good enough for 1st line center in the future but he will likely end up a 3rd or 2nd, Giroux will hold down #1 for a very long time, then couturier and schenn will go 2 and 3

Steven Stamkos was a bust roughly about this time in his rookie season

Nah they only way he'd be a bust is if somehow the Leafs got him last summer and he played the way he has this year...

Realistically never saw him as Elite to begin with...Probably end up being a top 20 center in the league...make a couple all star games..just not the next Crosby
