Voted for Ortmeyer...can't ignore a player who shows some much heart and dedication in every game. Always skating and creates a lot of turnovers, along with putting some shots on net every chance he gets (if he can hit the damn net!).
I voted Moore, but I have to admit: I would have voted Ortmeyer, but I don't think he really belongs in this poll. It's not because I want to denigrate him: on the contrary, I think that he should be recognized as a legit defensive specialist in the NHL. He's neither that young, nor a rookie: he's a very good NHL 3rd/4th liner and penalty killer.
Moore and Betts - I'd call it a tie. Almost went with Betts because of size and his faceoff ability, but I think Moore's slightly more skilled, a bit faster and smarter. Dead tie. But, I'm not sure if I'd qualify Betts as a rookie - so it may have to be Moore by process of elmination.
I don't know how you can vote for Ortmeyer. He's 27, so I think that he wouldn't even qualify as a rookie, added to the fact that he's played almost a full NHL season.
EDIT: I missed the other three polls, but would've put Moore ahead of Tyutin too. Tyutin has more potential, but this is about play this season, I believe, and not potential. Toots isn't haven't such a great season.
