Stepping back

Hey all. So if you notice the color change, it's because I'm stepping off as an admin after about five years at it. I'm hanging around as a global, still around and all that rot, but real life consumes more and more of my free time so rather than continue as an admin at this time. Purely voluntary.

Nooo, big blue is gone?

Big purple doesn't have the same intimidation factor.

Many thanks for all the work you've put in over the years here Chain. That won't change no matter what your role is going forward.

Heh. There's a joke there, but not PG. Yeah, it was time. With both kids more and more active, the wife's new business, and of course struggling to do my own job in rather trying times, I don't have the time to be able to do the job as well as I would like. Not sure who the new TL will be for the Buffalo board yet, but I'm sure we'll know soon.

Thanks. Someone pointed out that I may be the longest tenured mod. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

You should go back to the Outlaw Josey Wales avatar in victory lap fashion in celebration of many years of good service.

It's on the home PC. I have to off-load the ton of PM's I have -- yes, I archive 'em and no, I don't actually think I ever need them but there you are -- and have that and the Myers card around somewhere too.

Class act and great example for many folks around here. Much respect Chain and thanks for the years of service, glad you are sticking around.

I have avatars shutoff, so now I have to get used to the purple so I can recognize you.

Haven't been a member of hfboards for long, but have always enjoyed reading your posts Chain. I know it's not an easy job, so thank you, and glad you're sticking around!

For now.... The buttons are crack, too easy to use and too hard to quit.

Sorry.....er, good for you Chain.

I don't understand (nor really care to understand) all the different roles and responsibilities related to HF Boards. All I know is someone (s) are awfully good at running the show and I figure you're one of those.

Sounds like we're still going to be able to talk hockey, NHL, Sabres, College and youth. So, keep us informed of the goings on with your kids at Northtown. And keep those great insights on the Sabres coming too.

Wish I could help you out with the ol job-er-ooo..... Sounds like it's a bit of a challenge at present.

You're a regular Lindy Ruff/Darcy Regier. And I mean that with respect.
