Everyone knows the Jackets got screwed. The Kings got screwed in Ottawa last year with a terrible high stick call. Karma is a boomerang.
Don't forget Colorado this year...

Like I said, does Columbus even want the point? Wouldn't that be a detriment to their quest for a number 1 draft pick?

I hope we make the playoffs in a decisive way. If we only make it by a point, we'll never hear the end of it: ASTERISK

Kings would have won that game even if it went to OT. They would have carried over the momentum from that PP and finished them off. **** the haters.

The funny thing is that the Kings FINALLY score a late goal, but... it really shouldn't have counted.

That's small justice for the numerous times they have been on the wrong end of a TO ruling over the last few years.

And I still don't remember the last time they stole a point by scoring with the goalie pulled to tie the game late in the 3rd. Didn't happen last year, and not this year yet either.

Maybe this fortunate brush with fate will get their late-game-scoring juices going and we'll see more of it.

Generally we seem to either be tied or winning at that stage of the third. Or so far out of it there's no sense in pulling the goalie and making one last valiant push.

Didn't we have 2 a couple games ago that just missed counting?

– I’m told, by a couple different people, that when the clock is stopped, inside the booth next to the ice, that there is an audible beep, and that in this instance, nobody heard a beep. That would indicate that if there was a pause with the clock, it was a malfunction. It’s unfortunate that the league has allowed this “human error’’ possibility to remain part of the realm of possibility, when there’s no evidence of it. In fact, it would have been nice if everyone associated with the league had talked less. It would have been far more productive for the league to simply say, “We’re taking this seriously, and we will publicly present all the facts once our investigation is complete.’’ Nothing more.

Maybe this is a sign of the Kings fortunes finally changing? Nevermind a frickin clock, how about employees of another team sneaking into your locker room to measure sticks and then use it against you right as you're about to go up 2 games to none in the Finals!

really? I haven't heard this bit of the story...

I've just always heard that the other team noticed the stick during the game and sent word along.

Sounds kinda like the Patriots videotaping the Rams during their final walkthru before their Super Bowl several years ago.

I am supposing that this "recalibration" argument of the clock to ensure exactly 20:00.0 elapses in a period should also be made for all the arenas around the league, not just Staples.

And if that is true, then that numbskull GM of the Coulombs and our lovable commish need to get back on the horn and make some Mea culpas.

Was driving home just now, listening to John Ireland and Mychael Thompson at halftime of the Lakers game talking about the worst Winter storm to hit Denver in about 100 years.

John: "Mychael Thompson, who is from the Bahamas, how long did you leave your hotel room?"

Mychael: "About 1.8 seconds."

Great...now its going viral in other sports as well. Then again, I am sure both of them have seen the Staples clock hiccup before.
