Bottom line is that at .898, Bryz has a LONG way to go to get to .920, yet alone .915.
He's gonna need some more shutouts. and those are slim pickins these days. Bob still needs to pop his shutout cherry.

how about this, for the guys who want to conveniently 'forget' stats that don't support their point:

Bryz is LIFETIME .914 sv % [.917 in the playoffs]

i'll take that

is getting crazy ?
really ?

i'd think 'AWESOME' 'FANTASTIC' 'UNBELIEVABLE' would be 'getting crazy', but if 'real solid' is crazy in your eyes, ok

Misrepresents stats.
Lies.
Switches to an entirely different subject.

Covering all the bases aren't you.

For anybody interested

If Bryz plays every game here on out and posts a perfect record, he would end the regular season with a .939

You're being extremely rude. What he said was perfectly clear the first time, and then he took the time to explain it to you again after you deliberately twisted his statement.

First, you stated that over his past 9 games, Bryz has a .920 SV%, which would put him 12th in the league.

Then you said that if he keeps his .920 up and he got to .920 by the end of the year, he would by ranked 12th based on current numbers.

I then pointed out that the above is impossible, and it'd even be a reach to reach .917.

You then change your parameters to "continuing to put up .963's against the hottests teams in the NHL" which I hope we can agree is unlikely. There isn't a goalie in the league who can do this.

And then you bring up point one again, completely ignoring everything else that you said.

With all due respect, is this your first time in this thread? The guy has done nothing but try to sugarcoat Bryz's poor performance this season.

Who knows if what he posted was a mistake, or just typed wrong but as you see below, I am not the only one who took his post as is. Nor am I the only one seeing how he has backtracked and changed criteria.

He didn't make a mistake. His original statement was perfectly clear. You are needling him over semantics.

Good evening.

yes, if he finishes the year at .920, that would [at current numbers] rank him 12th. what is your problem with that ???

.939 is possible, and if he finishes @ .920 after his dismal start, that would be pretty great. i stand by that, however unlikely YOU have decided that is ..
the POINT was that over these 9 games, i'm OK with the numbers. nothing more than that.

-------------------------------------
hckyplayer8, what is your PROBLEM?

you asked for clarification

and I explained what i meant. very clearly.

every stat i posted is 100% true. nothing is a 'lie' at all.

you want to talk stats: Bryz is LIFETIME .914 sv % [.917 in the playoffs]

Who cares what his stats for the season will be, if he's .920 for the rest of the season (which wouldn't make a .920 year), I'll be happy.
