post game gifs should all be collected throughout the post game thread and grouped in the OP. many of them are so damn entertaining
I saw the one of Zach's goal which was great! But nothing of Elias's hit on Subban. None of the other few Subban hits were even listed as hits on the nhl.com site.

Excuse me if I'm late but it was EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that Elias wasn't suspended. Especially with these two gigantic games in the Pennsylvania area.
No Larsson though probably means that Foster gets to score some goals for the opposition again..
unless Pete uses his HEAD and puts in TAO, giving him Foster's minutes.
Oh and one more thing :
I was still stunned when I saw this during Pete's presser.
I think it all started when Pete was about to leave and he was suddenly stopped and came back to answer one last question.....Stan probably got confused and for some reason thought the interview was over or that the live feed on TV wasn't being shown anymore.
If Cunneyworth could speak French more penalties would have gone the Canadiens way.
Remember it's an unwritten law that the referees don't consider anything said by a Montreal coach in English. Has to be spoken in French exclusively by Montreal's coach to get heard! Now this is why speaking French while coaching the Canadiens is important! The officials will not even communicate with Montreal coaches speaking English.
Elias has been my favorite Devil for a while now. John Maclean was my favorite for about 10 years growing up. Shanahan, Muller, and Maclean were my favorites early in High School before the first two left.
Since 2001 Elias has exclusively been my favorite Forward. I fell in love with Langenbrunner, and Gionta those years too when they were coming up, and emerging with us especially after Sykora was traded out. Always had it for Elias though.
I felt the same way about Maclean leaving in 97 that I did with Langenbrunner last year. I was about as sad as Maclean himself was when he left, and asked to be traded, but he really couldn't offer anything to the Devils anymore though his first season with the Rangers was good. Good by Rangers standards since those were the beginning of the darkest years for them in recent times.
Langenbrunner couldn't either. Elias is still producing almost at his highest producing season's rate which was 2000/2001. We've recently witnessed a huge reemergence in Elias. I thought he was winding down around 09 also.
I can see it being hard for a coach to earn Patty's trust but other then that there is no way he is a cancer. We'd be a lottery team if he wasn't playing so well.

Funny that you mentioned Sykora. Still can't believe he's back after what seemed like a billion years.

Sykora was my favorite younger player back then. Elias probably took over in 99/00, but I always thought highly of Sykora. I still liked him more than Friesen!
I don't like returns from old players. I was scratching my head in 08 with all the old guys coming back. Shanahan, Holik, Rolston. I loved all those guys back in the day, but I was thinking seriously? Whatever it didn't hurt our season.
Sykora seemed PSYCHED to be back here during camp. Dude was just very upbeat, and really wanted to play for the Devils, and only the Devils. I had a lot of faith in him, and he's playing as good as I thought he would which is even better than most people predicted what we would see out of him. He's also doing a lot better than all of those old guys who came back that year, and comes at a much cheaper price tag.
^ Plus, and most importantly, he has helped Revive Elias's game.
That's why I think we should keep Sykora next year. He will be worth more I think, because he's putting up number already exceeding $650k grand, and he's really not an old man still only 35. I wouldn't mind giving him a raise. I'd be fine with a million if there is room.
Plus he's doing a good job as bus driver! Hasn't gotten as many tickets or drunk driving like the last one! Haha.
