Price is solid this season but...

When was the last time he stole a game for us? How many times has he stole one this season?

He stole games but his teammates gave them back.

When was the last time this team played 60 minute hockey? Let's get team playing together before we even ask our goaltender to stand on his head behind some pathetic defense.

60? I wish they would put in 20 straight minutes to begin with.

And whoever put this up needs to rewatch every game this season. Price IS NOT the problem AT ALL. He is one of the very few that have put in a consistent effort every night

Well he was rock-solid against Buffalo this week until his team decided to let him down...

Here's a better question: When was the last time the team stole a game for Carey Price?

He played well that game but didn't had to stand on his head. I'm looking for a game where Habs get totally dominated but the goalie saves the day.

A Stanley Cup contender shouldn't rely on their goalie to succeed. That's been this team problem for years...

Price stealing a game should be a plus, not something we desperately need to win.

Shouldn't? Says who? A stanley cup contending team should rely on whatever it is that can get them to the show.

Price has 17 Wins, I'd say he stole 16.

Poor guy can't get shutouts every game, seems it's the only way we would win unless of course we can't score and lose in a SO.

Carey Price stole the guy against Buffalo for example, but he was the only one that showed up. This season hasn't been easy for all, but to blame Carey is not right. Guy has played very well and at times has also had a tough stretch

The team hasn't really given him much to steal. Back in November he had 2 shutouts in a row 4-0 against the Canes and again 4-0 against the Rangers followed by a great performance against the Bruins but lost any way 1-0.

Yes, but in our current situation, isn't it dumb that the team can't even manage to get a win on its own, yet the fault should lie on the goaltender who doesn't turn water into wine?

I'll worry about Price's goaltending when the team will be competitive. We've been complete **** since pre-season.

I'm pretty sure you can take out that sarcasm smiley and it'd be a pretty accurate statement. It's so sad.

Who cares if he steals a game? To me he is a traitor and an ******* if he steals a game at this point. We don't need ****in stolen games.. we need him letting in goals at opportune times. Wake up.

It's hard to steal a game when you make 37 of 39 saves and your team doesn't score a goal.

Personally, I think Price's point production is abysmal. You know, he's only tied with Gomez for goals. I mean for such a great stick handler, you'd expect to have a few more assists.

Last I checked, Price is the only All Star on the team.

Didn't we have something like 22 or 23 odd goal losses this far? If you see it that way, then Carey Price has given us a chance to win in almost every single game, but our offence and powerplay has mostly let us down.

Even at the best of times his style never gives you the impression he's "stealing" the game, he plays very calm, positionally sound and within himself. When he's making big saves, it usually means he's off and moving around too much.

As for him stealing games, in the games he's won this year he has a 1.45 GAA and like a .950 SV%, I'm sure a few of those we didn't quite deserve to win.

He hasn't been great this year, like he was last year but he's been good. It's unfortunate the team is so awful.

I didn't express myself clearly in the first sentance. What I meant was they shouldn't ask their goalie to single-handedly win games... that's what I wanted to say by "not relying".

If you want the Cup you need to be able to win games, even when your goalie isn't in the top of his form.

Price is an extremely "smooth" goaltender. Most people seem to think that when a goalie steals a game, it means he's flopping like a fish in the crease all the time. But Price is always making smooth movements across his crease and plays far more of a "positional" game.

You will never really see Price flopping around. Doesn't mean he isn't stealing games though. There have been many games where we get shelled for a while and Price holds the fort, even though he doesn't necessarily flop around to do so. That's him stealing a game. The game against Toronto is a pretty good example of that.

That's true, but this team is about as far in the standings from being a contender as one can be.
