The Pittsburgh guys are the worst. I actually like the Sabres announcer. The guy has some passion and gets your heart racing more than the others, though it sounds like he actually may die during one of the broadcasts!
There's some really shoddy announcing in the smaller markets. But, I have got to go with RJ. Only because I suppose this thread is about which announcer we hate listening to the most when the Flyers are playing them...and for me, it's by far Rick Jeanneret. When other teams score on the Flyers, I get fumed; but nothing fumes me more than when Jeanneret goes crazy.
Yeah, it's not that I have anything against Drew Stafford, but I hope he never scores a goal again.
Oh, and two more things worth mentioning. The change in the Chicago guy's voice when someone makes a "big save", and the voice inflections with consonants from the Colorado guy (e.g. "eeeeeen" instead of "in"). Am I the only one noticing these things?
Boston and Pittsburgh's take the cake but Potvin is absolutely miserable. Jim Ralph who is the analyst for the Leafs' radio broadcasts is exactly like Potvin.
I'm finding JJ unlistenable and even Clement is crossing the line into blatant homerism. Coatsey has always been a joke but I liked JJ up till last season when he really changed and Clement used to be one of my favourites but he's heading down the same path. I hate it when they try to cover up something to the fans as if we aren't watching. That's why I love Ferrero, I know he's national but he calls it as he sees it. I'm always glad when TSN has a Flyers' game because there's no BS.
I like the Nashville guys a lot. There are a lot of guys in the west that I don't mind but if the Flyers played those teams more often and had a rivalry, I'm sure I'd find reasons to hate them!
