Fehr out and Gagnon will centre the 4th line with Mitts and Burmi.

http://jets.nhl.com/club/depthchart.htm?dcid=349

edit - Never mind, this says Fehr is on the 2nd line. So I have no idea.

That should make a few people around here happy campers.

I most admit I'm not sheading a tear.

You're probably right. I like the fact that they're changing things up down there.

Fehr probably has a better chance of scoring out of the line-up.

Fehr out
This is probably his last chance when he gets back into the lineup

Late scratch - have no idea who will be on that line then. My assumption is that Burmi will move up, and if Machacek is still with the team, will go to the 4th line.

EDIT: Machacek was skating with Antro and Welly, according to TSN1290

I'm not against scratching Fehr. He needs to understand he's running out of chances

The bars in Montreal are great - should have no problem.

Would love to see Machecek take this oppurtunity and run! However, I'm still all for JJ being called up instead...also, 1-0 Boston, Tomas Vokoun is proving once again why it doesn't matter who WSH puts in net...hehehe...GO JETS!

For all any here know Fehr's scratch could be injury related. His shoulder may be bothering him. I've heard second hand that he's played a lot of the season with his upper body heavily taped; I've empathy for anyone who battles through an injury in an attempt to keep their career going. Don't quite get the depth of some of the angst against him here sometimes; it is not as if he isn't trying.

Personally, I like the guy. It's unfortunate, but if he's still having issues, this is a bad time for him to be recuperating while playing. It's definitely possible that he's not a "healthy" scratch.

I think that he basically has a free-pass from TNSE this year. If he can get healthy and back to his totals with the Caps, this move will look like a steal by Chevy. I still view it as a longer term, low risk, high reward deal.

If he WAS a healthy scratch, maybe he'll come back with the same passion that Thorburn did after getting scratched.

On the other hand if he is playing injured and not contributing much why keep him in the line-up.

The Jets have given him more than enough of a chance to show something. Time for someone else to play.

Fehr had one season with a career high 21 goals and 39 points, his best, his next best was 12 goals and 25 points, were not exactly talking about a star here.

Oh, I understand the rationale behind the identification of an injury riddled player that is perhaps not getting the job done. I just don't understand the abject cheering of that a guy who clearly wants to be a part of this team (and is willing to fight through injury to do so) is not in the starting lineup. I think it is a bit sad; others are entitled to feel otherwise though. Carry on.

Amazing GDT&love Darth Cole!

Hope you guys win.. We need to tank and you guys need to bump the Leafs out of a playoff spot. Inacceptable that they might make it.

It may be a bit disheartening. But the reality is that we are/have been pushing for a playoff spot. If you are playing injured and not performing then you should not be playing as it hurts our chances of winning games. His heart may be there but his skill isnt and that is a major factor in a game.

I agree with you Gump.

I've talked with buddies of mine in the physio rehab field, and they say that an injuries like Fehr's would take a good part of the season to recoup from if ever. They also thought when he came back that it might have been on the early side.

Another CRUCIAL game. We absolutely need a win here. We can't afford to drop any points.

Go Jets Go! And may the force be with us.

Hfboards formatting ruined your GDT somewhat, but great job!

Keep an eye out for this young prodigy on the Habs, Scott Gomez.

Good luck.

Scared ****less of this game. Mtl was also awful when we went in there confident on Jan 4, and we proceeded to **** the bed. Too bad, cuz I was there <-------- see pic at left.

It wouldnt' surprise me to see the Habs explode and win 4-1 or 5-2, with Gomez scoring. They will be hungry and desperate at home after losing yday, with Price in net, subconciously it looks like they were focused on giving a strong effort against the weaker opponent this weekend.

Hope I'm wrong and we crush them 11-0. Need Buff to make a diff and control the tempo.

Is it just me or can you tell a team's offensive talent by the special teams - other teams just pressure the points and wingers on the Jets pp and we can't handle it - teams with talent turn that pressure into a good scoring chance using proper positioning and being confident handling the puck. When the Jets are on the kill, they give the pointmen and wingers way too much time and room.

2, 2, 3, 2, and 1. The # of powerplays the Jets have drawn each game of this roadtrip. How about having 12 pp's like the zebras gave Buffalo on Nov 8?

You too (but not too much luck! ) Given that the Jets are known as the streak-breakers, I expect Gomez to pot one today.

Regarding the HFBoards formatting:

User CP > Edit Options > Set Image Width and Height to 0 to prevent the screwy resizing default.

I get that same kind of fear about this one. This could be a real sore one to watch...its up to one guy on the Jets to make sure this doesn't happen...the captain needs to step it up imo. The Bell Centre is never easy.
