Kinda OT-but did anyone see that Talbot knee-on-knee to McD? Wasn't Talbot NOT a d-bag when he played in Pittsburgh? Why is it that every player who plays for Philthy turns into a cheapshot artist?
I always thought Talbot was a D bag there too, actually.
One more thing: It looked like Mezaros left his feet to hit Gabby before he scored the goal. I don't think it was by a lot, but it definitely happened. Anyone else see it?
He will earn his top ten selection when we play games like this.
Add in Miller and Kreider with their size and we are going to be great for a long time.
Not to bring up this whole diatribe again but what exactly can DMac do that Stu Bickel can't ? Is he that much better of a Player ? I'm seriously asking

Well it's impossible to say for sure but it is believed that he is going to be a more physical player as far as hard body checks go. And his reputation of beating up players far older than him is pointing towards him being a more intimidating d-man. The big question is his d-zone coverage and how he will progress

Gotts wonder if it is just a prerequisite to just be a flat out dirtbag to play on that team? Almost like they scout for it? Even in 24/7, the way the team carries themselves they are just a big group of dirtbags, but thier top 6 players down to guys like Sestito.

Yeah Talbot is a tool and a spot picker. He'll do dirty **** and then run away from fights if it's anyone his size

I noticed that too but Gaborik also jumped into the air, so the whole thing looked kind of weird and I can't find a good replay off hand.
Just watch the NHL.com highlights. It's part of the Gabby goal.
I thought so but when I went and looked at just that highlight, it started with Gaborik getting up off the ice
Maybe there's an extended highlight on their site
e: actually yeah, that's it. If you go to the game highlights, Gaborik's goal starts as he's getting up off the ice. If you look at the replay they have on the nhl.com front page about his goal, then it shows the whole thing.
I don't think Meszaros really left his feet. At least, one foot was still on the ice and one kind of came up when he hit Gaborik, and the hit he threw was high, but Gaborik also jumped into the air which is why he went flying into the boards so hard.
Can't tell if Meszaros makes the high hit because Gaborik jumped, or Gaborik jumped because Meszaros was coming in with a high hit
