EDIT : I really, really like Yakupov's skill as well.
I agree with you that Trouba will be a stud. But there would be reasons why he could go between #5-#7. And it's not because he is a bad prospect but because others are also pretty good. Totally agree that after 10 is a freakin steal. Reason why on the draft thread I brought that possibility of trading down if our big centermen weren't available, yet the possibility of getting Trouba looks way too enticing to let him slip by. If we end up with too many great d-men prospects, well we'd just trade one for one prospect forward in due time. But honestly , while the idea of getting a center is too important for me, people should close their eyes and just imagine how an incredible d-men pool would that mean to add Trouba as well.

On the topic, I'm going with Huberdeau. But it's not as clear cut as some want to think it is. And as you know, I'm a Q and local fan. But Grigo will in fact be a very good player in this league.

It'd be a tough call, but I think I'd take Huberdeau. Why? Because he's a year older that Grigorenko and a year closer to reaching his potential. Ideally we'd want a whole raft of our guys playing in their primes at the same time - Subban, Price and Pacioretty will be hitting their best years within the next three to five years. Neither Huberdeau nor Grigs are going to catch them, but Huberdeau will be closer.

Why have Malkin/Kovalchuk when you have Darche

wow, surprising to see how many "specialists" already know which one is better, which one plays with more passion, I bet you all watched them in a lot of games to have such an informed opinion...

yeah fcvk the Russian....oh wait isn't Malkin a Russian? Oh yeah that's right, the guy who had the most dominant playoff performance since Gretzky and Lemieux. I live in Québec and don't really follow the Remparts but one thing i remember seeing in the press was Roy saying how impressed he was with Grigorenko's attitude. He said he's clearly not like others Europeans he had before.

If it's the case: go for it.... But I guess we will finally draft 3rd or 4th and won't get him anyway.
