Awesome - when our youngsters are entering their primes we'll have cap space for a hired gun. For right now they're playing a role, which hopefully includes excellent leadership.

As mentioned earlier, Connolly and Lombardi are NHL caliber filler-inners, after next season they're likely gone, or staying at a discount.

It is the cost of gaining Franson in one case too.

His points and games played are almost identical to last season so he is living up to expectations.
