Constantly getting Parise and Zubrus mixed up.
Mixing up Bernier and Josefsson.
Saying Marty made a save when it hits glass or goes wide.

All in all he hasnt been as bad as I imagined. However I do find myself working a bit more than last and catching the game on the fan so maybe I just havent seen enough on TV.

Completely being unable to figure out which team the penalty is on about 1/3 of the time is SG's signature call.

I get Parise and Zubrus mixed up from the cheap seats.

Meh, anytime you succeed a great man people are going to be unhappy with your performance.

Steve is doing a perfectly acceptable job.

I like Steve. I think in a few years his personal phrases will start to sound more natural. Though that's not to say I dont get nostalgic when I hear Doc calling an NBC game.

Oh yeah, he definitely ****s up, but once you listen to some of the play by play guys other teams have he's really not that bad at all.

That I will agree with he is better then other local announcers by far. There are times when he and Chico get in to the Doom & Gloom garbage the sound goes down.

Doc screws up a lot too. Remember when he was so sure the Devils scored, but it took him like 5 seconds to realize they didn't? It was a VS game against the Flyers.

Yep, that's one of his favourite lines. Or the similar "and Player sends the Devils on their way".

I have no problem with Steve's performance, he's been better than I thought he'd be. Doc is just a hard act to follow.

I like Steve. I do have a tendency to block out the broadcasts, though. Mastered it after years of incessant Chico rants.

I disagree with you 1000%. Let him copy Doc(just a bit). It's not like he donned a Doc Emerick Mask or something....
