2/6 A. Murray; cleared 2/7 (guessing he's on his way to Worcester)

....Is it really. What is it that Murray does that closes this gap?

i wish he wouldve worked out better on the PK, probably could get a few SH goals off of him.

my feelings on mitchell are very mixed. sometimes he lights it up, and others he stinks it up. not a lot of middle ground with him. I think our entire bottom six minus mcginn/handzus lack a lot of the soft hands you need to keep pressure in the O-Zone.

murray is just an older version of mcarthy/wingles who doesnt produce as much as them with twice as many games.

No nonsense. The Todd never specified what team he wanted to give Murray a chance at playing on.

He means he wanted to give Murray a chance at playing in general. This wasn't going to happen on the San Jose Sharks. Maybe he will get claimed...

He hustles to loose pucks and is faster. His board-work and puck control is better. He is more physical and built better chemistry with Winchester and Desjardins.

If what you say is true then why didn't it work out that way? I'm not just talking about the todds decision which was a direct result of Murrays performance.

Whether you agree the decision or not it should not have been a surprise especially with Vandy being dressed in place of Murray...

so is the question...

do i hold on to a 30 year olds contract who has most likely reached his ceiling and take away ice time from my prospects or off load the contract and keep cycling vandemeer into the fourth line when needed?

wish we could get more concrete insight into the decision, but whatever. still waiting for an actual trade to happen.

Demers was not skating today. Both Sheppard and Wingels (who are currently on IR) were.

So one might assume that the forwards are closer to activation that Demers.

TOM was originally signed for Worcester. Had a good camp and started season in SJ.

No clue. Why was White being played instead of Vandermeer early this season? Why did they decide to use Huskins and Wallin against Vancouver instead of Braun? Why did they even bother signing/playing Lemieux?

I guess I'm the only one who's not too surprised about this. Not necessarily happy about it, though. Neutral about it, I guess.

Well, i'm sure we'll see him in the playoffs. A vet. player over a rookie is is a good roster decision for the 4th line. We have several forwards that can play in the NHL in the 4th line. Good chance to see what they can do...

I hope he clears waivers. I'm a little surprised that they waived him.

This.

Prior to this season I don't remember DW waiving any players, except maybe Kaspar way back when.

DW is known to be a player's GM, right?

Hopefully prospective free-agents won't shy away because of this.

He was signed to a two-way contract for a reason...

Yea I thought he was a big part of that 4th line when it was playing extremely well, his speed and forecheck did open up alot of chances.

He looked effective out there, but there's no denying that he was in the doghouse for whatever reason. There must be something going on behind the scenes that got him on the coaching staff's bad side.

Is management just trying to clear as much cap space as possible for a new acquisition?

The 4th line was doing pretty good with TOM there .. just not sure what the reasoning is behind waiving him. And not sure if we ever will find out why.

Like everyone else. Confused about this move.

Murray did excellent on the forecheck. I don't see how Wingels is better. Wingels needs to play more minutes and should be in WOR.
