Brown 13 goals and 14 assists
Williams 10 goals and 26 assists

We're paying Williams over $4m to score roughly 15-16 goals? That's horrible.
Surprised at the hate on Williams. Seems like one of the more underrated players to me- but then again I'm not a Kings' fan.

They ain't trading 1 Sedin, and nothing on the CBJ is worth 2 Sedins

Right. So you are going to basically gut your roster for proven players, for a guy who has played only 4 playoff games? The guy is soft and is not a proven leader and you want to trade your core for him??????

As Chris Berman says, C'MON MAN. I guess it is a slow month for Eklund that this rumour is hot.

I hate the Hawks, but even I wouldnt want this trade for them...
Could have stopped this rant short by checking out their cap numbers...

Lolund- Leafs will have to have a HUGE collapse from now to the deadline for the Leafs to trade anyone significant on the roster. Any move they make is probably trying to dump a contract, with a pick or prospect, if they can.

Price would be too high for Nash, would rather go after Brendan Morrow or James VanRiemsdyk

I don't want nash... 7.8m per is just too much for a guy who isn't a lock for ppg. I can see him going to the kings.

Really can't be done without Sharp/Hossa + 1st + McNeil/Morin

Ahh that makes sense.

He was a player I couldn't stand when he was in Carolina- but that was probably more of a testament to his effectiveness since I was cheering for just about every team they faced in the playoffs on their cup run.

I've really come to appreciate the way he plays since then. He's a very heady player. Hopefully his health issues are behind him- which seemed more like a run of bad luck than anything else.

Don't particularly care for Nash contract but he fits exactly what we need. And yes, LA does make the most sense if price is right

1. Salary fits: Penner + Stoll contracts (gone next year) = Nash contract
2. Good young stables of players and prospect for Columbus
3. LA is desperate for scoring...any scoring
4. No UFA picks LA....goodluck with Parise
5. Desperate GM trying to save his job

Which most likely mean he's not coming to LA

Or anyone's cap system. Much as anyone might love him as a player, he's overpaid by a non-trivial amount.

That'd be a terrible deal. Sharp and Hossa are both equally good players to Nash on better cap hits. Why would Chicago have to add?

Forget Nash, we should just get Pahlsson for cheap, shore up our PK even further.

Nash could probably score 40 every year on the Hawks. I'd take him in the right deal (prospects/picks only) but the cap hit is awfully high. You'd have to move Frolik and then it really isn't that bad because we have plenty of cheap bottom 6 options in the system.

Wouldn't mind Nash with Ottawa. I get the feeling that if he where to leave Columbus he'd be a consistent 40-50 goal scorer. Of the 4 teams listed the only 1 that makes sense is L.A.

He's just reporting what he heard ... from somebody else who doesn't know what he's talking about.

That makes no sense

Sharp and Hossa are better players then Nash

For either it would be Nash + 1st at least coming Hawks way

Hossa is light years ahead of Nash IMO as a hockey player

Sharp is better all around player

The teams you're listing can't spend anywhere close to the cap.
