If we can get Parise....get him. Whatever it takes.

If Hank gets a raise from his 6.875 million/season I will not be a happy camper.

I don't really want Parise, so I picked Suter. I don't think most of you understand how good Suter really is.

As for Parise, I'm still of the belief that this team doesn't need a top line player to fill out the roster, but rather a 2nd-3rd in between winger. Our biggest issue with scoring is depth, not top line talent. Why spend $6m-$7m to plug a $3m hole?

CBA expires September 15. The cap may very well go down. You can't handcuff yourself this summer with a 7+ year contract with a 7M+ cap hit to Parise.
this. but, if anyone, it would be parise for me. the rangers have a good 'd' and i think theyve got a few good shooters back there. it's more the system that doesn't get them time or open lanes. often time the 'd' men are actually pinching in front of the forwards. they just dont play a system that leads to lasers from the back line. maybe i'm just making excuses...but i dont think a suter would help that much. a nice scoring playmaking forward would be the thing to chase, if anything. and im happy to stick with the team as-is with minor tweaks and a few prospects developing

Girardi gives you about the same as Staal, is cheaper, plays the right side and has less trade value...

Staal could be used to get some pretty nice assets...
Fair enough, agree to disagree, both are great, prefer Staal.
