Anybody starting a fantasy league this year? Pretty pumped to play again since I killed in my last league.

We should definitely do one with the regulars off this board. Count me in.

That's because we have a lot of pitchers and not enough catchers.

My thoughts aswell. Surprised to see him above McGuire and Wojo. I think it's the depth and importance of each position that placed them where they are in the rankings.

I'd defiantly be interested. I had a few last year. Can't remember if it was with people on this board. As long as there are no purely casual/inactive players involved I'm down.

Yup. He shouldn't be though. He's got nice tools but was horrible last year and regressed in pretty much every area.

Ya but thats the beauty of our system is that we have so many legitiment prospects that some scouting services are going to like certain players more then others. Theres also some prospect sites that value performance moreso then projectability and vice versa with other sites.

-MLB has Gose #2 while Sickels has him #9
-Sickels and Goldstein have Matt Dean in the #15 range and MLB doesnt even have him in the top 20
-MLB has Perez #9 while Sickels has him #20
-MLB has Comer inside the top 15 and Sickels has him outside the top 25

Theres more examples of this but I think it shows just how talented the system is when you get such varience on certain prospects.

I know Camp signed with the Mariners, didn't see that Kuo signed there aswell. He's had some confidence issues this past year, but I knew whoever signed him would be getting a bargain. I was hoping that it would be the Jays, but we've got better options as of right now.

10 pitchers, 3 catchers, 3 outfielders, need a little infield depth and were good to go. To me thats a very nice list, and it doesnt have JP, Lawrie, Alvarez or Drabek on it..

I'd be down if it was a Fantasy League on MLB.com, I find that to be the best fantasy experience

This draft seems to have a good bunch of middle infielders so AA should be able to address those concerns

I hope this does not go against my goal but I want to thank the vast majority of you for not ruining this board whining about Rogers. Unfortunately my other Jays board has resulted in every thread consisting of whining about Rogers not spending enough money this off-season.

Rogers really screwed the pooch on Fielder. They should have signed him. He's only gonna be 36 by the time his contract is over, not 46 like Pujols. He would have put butts in the seats, and made us instant contenders.

Fixed. You also got Alberts age wrong. He's 31, not 36

Even if you were sarcastic, the Tigers overpayed so Mike Ilitch can have his WS and the stadium can be evenly level by moving Miggy to 3rd, so it doesn't tilt on its axis.

Should have signed Reyes as well. They're richer than the Yankees and Red Sox owners. They can afford it.
